Chelsea

Tommy Robinson is everything and more I could ask for in a man. Sexy as sin. Business Owner. Hard worker. Family man. He came into my life when I was twelve years old and has been my rock ever since. Raised by a teen mom, I never knew my biological father. Some would say that’s what Tommy is like, a father figure. But to me, my feelings for him are anything but daughterly. Unfortunately, he views me differently. There are so many reasons why we could never be. To name a few. He’s married. Half my age. His daughter is my best friend. And last but not least.

I belong to his son.

Tommy

Chelsea Kane. Off-limits. Forbidden. She became my neighbor seven years ago, and I’ve looked after her ever since. Raised by a runaway teen mom, Chelsea hasn’t always had the steadiest upbringing. Until she moved in next door with her Nana. My daughter Maddie and she quickly became the best of friends. Family and friends would say that Chelsea is like a second daughter to me. Only my feelings for her are anything but fatherly.

There are so many reasons why I should walk away. I’m married. She’s half my age. And she belongs to my son. The problem is I can no longer fight my feelings for her. I need to have her like I need my next breath. So now I’ll stop at nothing to make her mine. I’ll fight anyone that gets in my way.

Including my flesh and blood.

This book is intended for mature audiences due to the use of explicit language and sexual content.
A few things I want to mention that may be triggering to some. This book is a duet, so it does leave off on a cliffhanger. There is cheating involved, and it’s a taboo romance. The MC is eighteen years older. All the sexual situations in this book are consensual, and when the FMC was of legal age.

Mr. Robinson was previously published as a serial on Radish Fiction.

Rating: 4/5

This book caught me so off guard! And what a cliffhanger!!! I love the conflict between Chelsea and her feelings towards each guy. I had so much trouble trying to decide who the better option was. I can’t decide between them!!! I felt so sad for Chelsea and everything that was constantly being thrown at her. She is such a strong character! I absolutely cannot wait for the next book!

Omg! At first I was a little weary on if I was going to like it or not. Then I got into chapter like chapter 6…OMG MY GOSH!! I haven’t been able to put it down but of course work interferes. This is the best “fantasy” book I’ve read in a long time! Thank you Jessica for allow me to read it. I cannot wait until part 2!

First there are SO MANY discrepancies in this book…. It’s also CRINGE ASF…. Things change from chapter to chapter and then go back to the way they were three chapters ago.. it’s just a mess… I stumbled upon this book in TikTok thinking ok a quick taboo read but no it’s just gross.. a young broken girl being tossed back and forth between son and father …. And on top of that they’re both ginormous AHOLES… they both talk to and treat her like crap while spewing they love her or thinking it in the fathers case… they have zero respect for this chic and she’s cool with it…it’s just a whole a$$ mess…. So no I won’t be continuing on to the next book… hard pass .. I honestly don’t know how I got to the end of this one… if it had been any longer I probably wouldn’t have … and if you’re just in it for the smut factor it isn’t even all that…. I’m jus sayin

From the short list of reviews, I got really excited to read this book. However, I was let down. The first time I picked up the book I read five chapters and almost went into a reading slump. A month later I decided to finish what I started and picked it up again. I do want to say that I have nothing against the author and I think the plot of this book has great potential but right now it just didn't do it for me. The whole thing felt rushed.

There were quite a few typos and it was extremely choppy. Instead of giving great relevant details that really make you feel like you are in the book, Lee just lays everything out in a way that is not appeasing. There was a lot of "I did this" and "I did that". This was especially bad in the beginning but got a tad bit better towards the end.

I also had high expectations for the steam scenes but was let down once again. One, the steam scenes were very juvenile and lacked creativity in my opinion. While, I prefer a good mix of intimate and just raw passion scenes spread through out a book, this one was lacking in both. Two, the steam would just get started and then it was over. They were very rushed. Lee didn't give any good details that make you jealous of the woman main character. These scenes were also very repetitive with having virtually the same thing happen every time Chelsea did anything with either of the guys.

Honestly, I think a lot of the book was repetitive. The characters just kept telling themselves "I can't do this because...". These side thoughts weren't spread out either, they were back to back to back. They happened so much I started to get annoyed during a couple of chapters.

Overall, I believe the plot of the book has great potential if Lee slows the pace of the book down, goes more into depth, and gets more creative. Most women judge the book by the cover and from there they set their expectation to just "utter smut and plot twists". I am most women. Setting my expectation for this book to "utter smut and plot twists" was my first mistake because there just weren't any parts of the book that had me kicking my feet in the air aside from the ending. Even then, I was still riding out my bummed state from the rest of the book that I couldn't enjoy the cliffhanger very much.

Because I still have hope for this author and her works, I will be reading book two of the duet once it comes out. Fingers crossed it will be better.

I had really high hopes for this book, but unfortunately, it just let me down. This book was taboo but not spicy. There were just a lot of quick fucks that got repetitive after a while. Actually, this whole book was very repetitive. It also had a lot of typos and grammar mistakes, so if that is something that bothers you, I wouldn't recommend picking it up. Every single main player in this book was toxic AF, so you didn't even have anyone to root for.

***This book also ends on a cliffhanger so beware***

Let me say something first, before this I had never read age gap romance. And I also thought this was an MC romance. The girl being 12 when she met Thomas who was her friend’s dad, did make me cringe and I almost put it down. I have daughters and it almost made me not want to read it. But I do not believe in not finishing a book. And I am glad that I didn’t. Also, I was sad that there was not an actual MC in the story.

As for my review, I honestly loved the book. I couldn’t wait to read the next one. (Luckily, I was picked to be an arc read for this author and was able to get an arc copy of the next book and will be reviewing it as well). The age issue was relieved when nothing happens til she’s 18. Chelsea does go back and forth between Thomas and his son Conner. It does get annoying sometimes. There’s many twists and turns and oh my goodness moments. This book is steamy! And I love how she uses references of the show Sons of Anarchy to give you an idea of how Thomas looks. I definitely recommend this book!

Yes Mr. Robinson! (Imagine Charlie Hunan /Jax Teller)

There's a full history of background for each character and their pov. This spans out across many many years. You can feel the chemistry from the beginning. There's am 18 yr she gap between Tommy and Chelsea but nothing gets heated till after she is 18 (she will irritate you at first but she will get it together) The growth of the characters(some) truly shows. There is definitely some TW stated. There is cheating, drug use, profanity, verbal and mental abuse(manipulation).. It's quite intense all the way through. The cliff hanger will be exasperating! I can't wait for the next one. I definitely suggest you read this and hold out for the next part cause it'll be worth the wait. Oh, by the way,.. Picture Jax Teller when you imagine Mr. Robinson.. Oh yes. This author paints the details perfectly with her words and keeps you on the edge, wanting more.. Now what will I do between now and then? A cold shower?

Let me start by stating that the buildup is worth it and everything that follows. I could not put this book down. I enjoyed how the author sets it up by the years but does not get spicy till the MFC becomes of age. It was enjoyable to see the characters grow it was a gateway to connect with the characters. From the start when Tommy came into the picture, I came coming up in my head with scenes from sons of anarchy vibes, none other than Jax… bikes, tattoos I am here for it all. The cliffhanger left me counting the days till Mr. Robinson is released.

Favorite Quote: “Are you sure this is what you want? If we do this, there’s no coming back. You will be mine.” Her cold but soft hands land on either side of my face. “Yes, I have never been more sure about anything. Make me yours, Tommy.”

Can we talk about a cliffhanger???!!!! Like how dare you leave me wanting more Jess !!! Even though I got more with book 2 but that’s not the point lol. The age gap between Chelsea and Tommy was a little odd at first but very realistic because that’s how most “family/friend relationships” start off. You meet the kids at a preteen age, watch them grow up and then when they’re grown you fight with yourself about if it’s the right move/call to get with them. Not speaking from personal experience or anything but just from stories heard and seen. Extremely slow burn for me but I enjoyed book one and am onto book two.

This is my own personal review for the ARC I received.

Thank you again !

I liked this story. It gave me small town vibes with the whole “ I have slept with everyone in town “ vibe.

I know they had to show the progression with Chelsea as she got older but man was she so juvenile.

I really wanna know whose baby that is and I am hoping for Tommy.

The reason I gave this⭐️⭐️⭐️ is because I have read a few taboo books with small town vibes and this one didn’t hit as well as others.

I would say me the spice was 🌶️🌶️. It was good but hearing the words “ seed” and “forbidden” just didn’t do it for me.

But man Tommy Robinson better get his women. Cant wait to read the next book.

I found the story to be okay but there was so many mistakes this book it was just a challenge to navigate. Since the story did not have the proper editing it made statements not make sense and the timeline off and it sort of overpowers and takes from the story. You remember less of the story and more of the editing mistakes.

I know people will find the age gap cringe because he was an adult and she was a teenager when he started lusting. It’s why it’s taboo. Didn’t have an issue reading the story. I honestly thought it had real potential as it was a quick read. Again I didn’t hate the story I just couldn’t get past the editing mistakes

Everyone thought Chelsea and Conner were going to be end game. No one knew about all of the thoughts that Chelsea and Tommy kept having about each other. What happens when those lines get crossed?

Warning: book ends with cliffhanger

This book caught me off guard at first ! And what a freaking cliffhanger!!! I love the conflict between Chelsea and her feelings towards each guy. I have a hard time trying to decide who the better option was. I can't decide between them!!! And it’s a hard choice! I felt so bad for Chelsea and everything that was constantly being thrown at her. Like she couldn’t catch a break. And the choice she has to make now that she’s pregnant I feel will make her stronger.
She is such a strong character! I absolutely cannot wait for the next book!

I didn't know that I could love a story involving a love triangle involving a father and son as a part of it.... until this book. I downloaded and had it finished within a day! That's rare for me anymore. Child hood love... but as an adult, it is so much more complicated. This book spanned quite a length of years, but the pace and back story worked so well! Cas dated the son... loved the father. Heart broken by both. But a surprise is on the way and ready to leave you on a cliffhanger, making you beg for the next book like I am now!

ARC Review:
While I appreciate the effort that the author put into this one, it fell a little short for me. Of course, this is just my opinion, so I’m sure there will be readers out there who love this novella!

This is part one of a duet. This novella also leaves off on a bit cliffhanger, so it makes you wonder what is going to happen in part two!

Omg the cliffhanger this book leaves you on 😫🤯🫣 loved the character building done in this book, the first couple chapters were rough for me to read due to Chelsea being a minor and Tommy being father figure. But once Chelsea grew up, I couldn't put the book down. Definitely check triggers. Can't wait to read the second book

Absolutely loved everything about this book! Forbidden romance, age gap, father and son! I adore Tommy and I’m not a huge fan of Connor, but Chelsea loves them both and can’t choose between the two! So excited for the next book to see how the story continues

I struggled at the start of this just due to the age gap. I have ready many age gap books but this was the first that started a little young. The characters developed well there were parts that were a little repetitive. Like characters saying the same thing that has been said in multiple chapters when it’s not necessary to the story. It didn’t turn me off the the story is just drew things out a little more than needed. Still enjoyed the book and would read the next. No spoilers

I was really into this until the last two chapters. I HATE surprise pregnancy tropes so much!

I want her with Tommy so bad, I want her to stop leading Conner on. Conner never deserved her and cheated on her so much.

Tommy needed to step up and claim her. I loved the forbidden taboo of them being together, and I just wanted it to finally come out to everyone.

This ended on such a huge cliffhanger that I honestly probably won't even read the next one when it comes out. This was such a letdown.
