A pretty good book with some annoyances. Typos, some repetition, and, for someone living in the Hood River Valley, she doesn't even know where it is geographically. It is not in Western Oregon, as she says (a major misconception). The apex of the Cascade Mountains, the break between Western Oregon and Central Oregon, is close to Cascade Locks, 20 miles west of Hood River. And, from a map, Hood River (Odell, Parkdale, etc) is due north of classic "Central Oregon" cities like Bend. From a naturalist perspective, to be specific, the Hood River Valley is in the Eastern Cascades Slopes and Foothills region (along with Bend, Sisters, K Falls, etc.

Too good to be fiction

I found this story very scary because I've heard survivor tales and this book is very realistic. There's so many cults out there, one must use caution, and when in doubt, Run!

Being from Oregon, I enjoyed the references. Few edits not caught throughout the book, but I enjoyed the storyline as it made me not want to put the book down. Looking forward to the next book.
