Fresh out of college, Ned Alderman is anxious to start his internship at Peppercorn Press while spending the summer with his cousin, Nadine, who he hasn't seen since they were kids. His fears are soon mitigated when he meets Chase Becker, the best "warmer" in the business, whose radiance mesmerizes Ned and others. An expert joy facilitator, Chase only knows how to pass happiness along to others--until he meets the woman who teaches him how to keep it. Set against the backdrop of a young and swanky New York City, The Warmer follows Ned, Chase, and their friends for one remarkable summer, through encounters both sensual and scathing, through conversations both painful and powerful, with wit that can boost or bite.
Patrick Robbins was born once (as far as he knows) and has been recovering ever since. A Maine native, he would make up stories in order to pass time while picking lamb's quarters on the farm with his siblings. This led to a love of storytelling that served him in good stead while attending Colby College and University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
Robbins has published short stories for various small publications and has written for multiple blogs; currently, he is the Features Editor at Cover Me, a blog about cover songs.
To Make Others Happy is his first published novel.
