Salaryman Oogami, like any wolfman, can get jealous and territorial, but when it comes to his boss, Mitsuji, he’s determined to keep a tight grip on his baser instincts. All of this comes at the wrong time for Mitsuji, who has just grasped the true extent of her own feelings for the sincere Oogami. Unfortunately for the wolfman, he has a rival also in pursuit of Mitsuji’s affection--the illustrious Mikado, who has the weight of the company name behind him. It’s herbivore prestige versus carnivore perseverance in the fight for office love!
This is becoming too much of a slow burn. I don't really like the miscommunication trope & I hope it gets sorted out in the next volume because I'm getting bored.
I like how the team of sheep have really accepted Oogami, or as they put it he's their guard dog. It's really making for more sweet interactions between the herbivores and carnivores. Plus finally getting to meet someone who is part sheep part wolf felt like it was showing more of how the world works, and also maybe a glimpse at what Oogami and Mitsuji's kids will look like if they can ever truly confess to each other. It's still just such a light hearted good book. They only thing that's killing me is the eternal question of if they have the animal ears why do they also have human ears. Are the animal ears just for show now? It bothers me so much.
"It was for nothing?!" Oogami you fucker lmao. I think its funny that this manga is suggestive but pokes fun at the usual tropes that normally come with it. No random boob slip/wardrobe malfunctions because that characters know to actually have layers. Amazing.
I don't care for Mikado after all. I was trying to think of why and someone else explained it perfectly. He's the childhood crush who thinks that he deserves to be with the main female purely because he knew her longer. He had all this time and yet didn't want to say anything about his feelings until Mitsuji was crying. On top of that has the nerve to say he'll still keep waiting 7 years for her response. It was such a half-assed love confession. He keeps butting in between Oogami and Mitsuji like he has any right to determine who she hangs out with. I think he does like her but his inferiority complex to carnivores really tints everything he does. It makes it feel like even being with her is a competition he has to win to prove himself to his dad.
As for Oogami and Mitsuji the misunderstandings are still running hard. I guess it will be the main running force of this whole story. Kamiya is cute but trying a bit too hard. I guess we've all been there as the newbie/intern. She fell in love at warp speed though.
I’ve really been loving this series! It’s just so much fun for me 💖
I’m definitely not a huge fan of how a certain conversation keeps getting put off, but it doesn’t ruin my enjoyment of the series as a whole.
Also. I (surprisingly) liked the addition of Kamiya. I liked that we first got to see her as a more aloof character, but she’s brought into the fold of the rest of her coworkers because of her own mistake. It was sweet! I also like that she’s half wolf/half sheep! It brings in a unique dynamic.
Tbh. The main reason I don’t mind Kamiya and Mikado is because I don’t believe for a SECOND that they’ll truly get in the way of Oogami and Mitsuji. They’re just there to create some fun tension.
Anyway. I don’t have much to say about this volume…which is why it’s getting 4 and not 5 🌟 like the other two volumes in this series.
I like the addition of the new female coworker and what her now being in the story means for not only Oogami and Mitsuji, but for outside factors surrounding the setting of the story itself. I have mixed emotions about Oogami’s love rival for Mitsuji’s affections: Mikado, but overall do find his banter with Oogami very amusing. I also liked that we got to see some of the reasoning behind why Mikado acts the way that he does. Overall, I’m curious to see what happens in the next volume since this series does end really soon and the main couple aren’t together yet.
What a volume! With Oogami suffering from guilt over giving in to his baser instincts Mikado makes his own move and openly confesses to Mitsuji whom they both care for. In the mean time a new employee who doesn't quite fit in has begun moving closer to Oogami making this love triangle a little four sided. Honestly I am cheering for Oogami and Mitsuji so maybe if it happens the other scorned lovers will find solace in each other. Of course office romances tend to be a bad idea but in such a work dependent society (assuming this is based on Japan) sometimes the risks are work it. :)
It's still a lot of fun and enjoyable even with rivals at every corner. Ha! Not entirely true but Mikado is definitely making his presence known and new intern Kamiya is still a bit of a mystery. Hopefully in volume 4 Oogami and Mitsuji can finally overcome this huge misunderstanding once and for all. Fingers crossed.
Oogami has strong competition for Mashiro's affections, as Mikado is getting seriously interested in her and is blocking Oogami at every turn.
Meanwhile there's a wold and sheep hybrid, that just joined the company who feels very at ease around Oogami, and is making Mashiro doubt herself and the confession of love that Oogami doesn't remember giving.
Another banger that ended on an infuriating cliff hanger. Please. I just want more! I’m in such a rush to see how this whole thing ends up. The love square? Killing me. Everyone is so adorable, but of course I’m rooting for our main couple.
I love this couple SO much! I wish they had been the focus more in this volume, but I do understand other characters need development too. Can't wait for the next volume! This is one of my fav ongoing series at the moment. Wish it released faster tho😢
I feel like this series isn't progressing quite as quickly as I expected. This volume, there wasn't much interaction between the two main characters and that was a bit of a letdown.
With Oogami having a rival for Mitsuji, now a potential rival for Oogami has arrived in the form of a half wolf half sheep coworker. This book was more of plot setup for a future book.
This drawn out miscommunication is killing me but I’m still entertained.
Recap: Mika confesses, new employee who is a sheep but she acts like a carnivore, surprise she’s mixed. Main sheep thinks oogami and new girl are getting closer and is sad. Company trip. Ping pong. Can we talk.
