Wow, what a reveal for Aria, nice. Another great volume as the roster continues to grow, and I am loving my foray through the manga world. It's all about Cosplay and I shall be reading the series and then will watch the anime. So, let's go and keep on reading.

I have always loved comics, and I can and I have. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more. You should also read what you love, and I hope you will always love it. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics, Mangas, Mahwas, and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.

Nonoa runs out on Lilysa, but straight into the arms of Okumura, who knows his way around being super awkward. When their photoshoot draws in a very well-meaning, yet clueless, gyaru, it’s time for a crash course on how to be the kind of otaku the cosplay world needs!

What makes a good sexy series? I would argue (for some people, very unsuccessfully) that the key is to be about more than just sexy stuff. We recently saw this born out with the robot sex show that checked one box and left many others blatantly unfulfilled (cough).

I’m never pretending that this is the next great ensemble cast, but it’s a damn fun story that happens to have some of the most ridiculous costumes of recent memory along with a bunch of fun to go with it. And while they might not be the best, the conflicting types and personalities here make for a good crew to hang out with (even if you have to figure that with all these girls hanging around the manga club would be neck deep in guys by now).

Nonoa might be shy to an extreme that is beyond anything I’ve ever seen, but she’s just super exuberant to a fault and the way Okumura handles her keeps him from being left behind amidst all the females that keep showing up. He is practically ballast at this point, but he has enough to do to avoid being a complete token boring male.

Nonoa had a traumatic encounter that had some harsh words, but the harshest ones are coming from a place that’s not terribly surprising. Still, I really liked the way it was handled. It’s always a good use of the visual medium and it makes sense that she’s the one holding herself back.

Of course, once Nonoa and Lilysa get together, the two of them are scantily-clad peas in a pod, but Nonoa gets super protective, which starts the sparks flying when the very well-intentioned but highly dubious Aria arrives on the scene with all the energy and none of the preparation. It’s saying something that she drives even the normally kind Lilysa to really stretch her vocal cords.

I like the way Aria plays out, actually, as she’s got the brashness I love in your typical gyaru, but she’s also not all about overshare either. In fact, she’s happy to pal around with her new friends (perhaps too much so in the bonus chapter, which makes up for the volume’s relative lack of smut by having bare boobs a-flyin’), but keeps things close to her chest.

Aria injects a new dynamic that is really funny working off the nerdy duo of Okumura and Lilysa (and she asks the question that everybody’s thinking with regards to them) and the reluctant Nonoa. Aria’s haplessness leads to a boot camp that amusingly reinforces what a buncha nerds these kids truly are (the other three being aghast at Aria’s suggestion they go outside reallt made me laugh, even if it is a cheap shot).

There’s not a ton of plot here, but the whole thing’s super breezy and little touches like Okumura’s 3D desires being tested are pretty funny. This is not, in any way, a harem manga, but it’s certainly structured like one. Having the girls fawn over costumes rather than a guy is a satisfying touch - why waste the energy when he’s only got one pathway to 3D happiness?

And, yes, after several volumes of neglect, the last panels bring back the one person who won’t accept Okumura’s lack of horny (and if he doesn’t end up with Lilysa anyway I’ll eat my hat), and she’s arrived just in time to bite off more than she can chew. The next volume should be something else.

This is a solid mid to good tier manga that I always like spending time with. While being exactly what it seems, it’s also rather more than that and it’s got some good gags and a cast I pretty much uniformly like. It’s doing solid work that it doesn’t have to, given its focus, and I appreciate that.

3.5 stars - nah, I still love it, even the very, very unnecessary bonus chapter crams in a message about body acceptance amidst the literal fleshing out of its new characters. It does more than the (sorry) bare minimum and that’s what keeps me coming back.

When you add a gyaru to the mix you automatically garner another star. Such a great new character with a unique back story. I can’t wait to see more of her!

Having made it through six volumes of this series, I can still say it's always an enjoyable read and I'm having a good time, but... it feels like it's not really doing anything new.

I will say, I really liked the new girl and how she dealt with her anxiety. I thought it came across as pretty realistic. I've never had problems talking to people myself, but I know a lot of people who do, and I thought they showed that pretty well. Also, I'll add that I found the otaku moment, with someone watching tons of anime in a row, pretty funny.

But on the other hand, it doesn't seem like the plot is ever going to go beyond just having these girls cosplay different characters. While that can be pretty interesting and fun, I'm hoping to see more depth in their lives. Especially the main girl, who at this point just seems to be going along with recruiting a bunch of girls to be around her by being nice during cosplay. I don't know, maybe I'm just complaining for the sake of it, but it just feels like the plot isn't progressing the way I thought it would after volumes two, three, or even four.

Either way, though, it's still a fun one. It's got some good comedy bits, and it's not leaning heavily on fan service anymore, even though it did in the beginning. So, I'll keep reading. Three out of five.

3.5⭐ Me está gustando la adición de nuevos personajes, aunque aún no tengo muy claro el rumbo que el autor quiere darle a la historia.
