One of the best progressive writers is Su.Samudram! Introduced at one of the seminars and sibling close relative! I reviewed all of his works and sent a 300-page essay to New Century Publishing. Then there was some disagreement between the publisher and Su . Samudram. So I bought the draft from them and gave it to my house in Madurai and went to publish it through his Ekalaivan publishing house.! Due to his financial crisis at the time, he shortened it to 150 pages and published it under the title ""Short Story Movement of Samudram"" and sent ""Royalty"". Social change, development / advancement, change / equilibrium as women, workers and the downtrodden have been compiled as a continuation of the previous study. Vadamalli is his best novel! The emotional turmoil seen in his short stories that day made him consider himself a short story movement. Cov in works. Sage, the generosity with which I accepted the grievances I pointed out and said with character that I would no longer erase them is admirable! More than 100, his rare characteristic of living with restraint and simplicity in creating works with no petty fiction or opinion about women with social concern is something rare to see today!

About the author

Samuthiram was born in Tippanampatti village in Tirunelveli District. He worked in All India Radio and Doordarshan. He was a prolific writer who wrote fourteen novels, four novellas, two essay anthologies, one play and more than 300 short stories (published as twenty-two collections). Many of his works have been translated into other Indian languages, such as Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. His political orientation was socialist, and he was involved in many literary feuds with fellow writers, such as Asokamitran and Vannanilavan. His works reflect his socialist beliefs, and most of them are about the oppression of the downtrodden. In 1990, he was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award for Tamil for his novel Veril Pazhutha Pala. Other awards received include the Tamil Annai Award from Tamil University, Thanjavur; the Ilakkiyachinthanai Short Story Prize; and the Kalaignar Award from Murasoli Trust (posthumous). He died in 2003 in a road accident in Chennai.
