Hunter's Surrender is the second book in the Nocturne Bites books. It is full of intrigue, passion, chemistry, vampires and action. This is one of Anna's earlier books and is a quick fun read.
I first read this book back in 2010 and enjoyed it just as much as I did then.

Another that I found on my iPad with no idea how it got there and again I found it just too short. It takes place over such a short amount of time and the story itself is so short I just didn't really buy it. Found the pair of them unbelievable as a couple TBH and there was no resolution at the end more of a HFN. Didn't hate it but didn't love it either.

Yeesh.
I read this one in less than an hour. I totally devoured it. All the conflict and sensual extras were amazing. It was potent and sexy without being overly graphic. I believed that they could fall in love in such a short time-span. I believed that not everything was perfect, but they'd make it work in the end.
There was a lot of world building going on, even in such a short story. Rand, aka The Darkness, was heart bleedingly sympathetic, alpha, and warm under all the hurt. As I mentioned a few times thru the reading updates I seriously want a Rand all to myself. WHEW!
I hope to read more from this world and will definitely be looking up more Anna Hackett.
As a side note, I picked this up because I'm taking a class on short story writing from her.

I love the concept of the vampires in this book. I wish this was a series because I think it would be a great vampire series.

A good beach read..
Short and sweet with just enough trouble and tension..
Vampire princess wants to escape from a vicious vampire she was promised to at her birth..
The vampire Hunter called the Darkness.. because he can hide in shadows and he is beyond surprised to find this beauty wants him..

Too simple ,had potential but the story didn’t follow through,was hoping more action ,less usual stupid dialogue ,also more romance ,less sex scenes,but that’s me....

A great story about 2 people who discover what love is all about and such a caring couple I really enjoyed this story.
