This book taught me to hold onto the little things in life, it helped me understand the way of control in society; and freed my mind from thinking inside the cage of a box I lived in. Although I'm not done reading it. Lol.

I really really enjoyed this book. It’s a true story of a man who became known for escaping from prison. It’s really an autobiography since the author is writing about his own life but it doesn’t feel like that at all. It almost read like a fiction. Even knowing his thing is escaping from jail, every time he got arrested I thought there’s no way he’d do it again. Definitely worth the read.

When I first took SERE, my instructor was reading this book. The author didn’t have much traditional schooling, so the autobiography is a simple read. But I could not turn the pages fast enough. His story telling of his times in and out of juvenile detention keeps you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover!

Found this book at work and couldn't put it down. This story outlines Edward Jones and his life of crime. Written by the man himself, the reader falls into the story and is whisked away into a life on the lamb. Very well written.

This man was an escape artist, who proved his ability by escaping his chain gang prison sentence 14 times in 20 years.

Great autobiography. I felt so sorry for the young man's bad luck that ruined his life. He remained a decent person despite his circumstances, and he loved his two wives and his two children, and he wanted to work an honest job.
