A tale of redemption. Very engaging. I loved the gundam style mech designs and samurai swords they all carried. Very Japanese, very cool. They really did a nice job building up the new character Drift.

This was a really good one shot. I'll admit I already liked Drift as a character before I read this. Key word is "liked". I've never felt drawn to him in anyway which is why even though I read MTMTE when I was 15, I am only now, at 26, am reading the Drift one shot. I continue to have pretty much the same feelings toward him after this run. It's a good read. I like Drift's backstory, and I like were he goes from here. I enjoyed his interactions with Circle of Light. He just seems really wishy-washy which is a trait he keeps so any grievance with the writing of this series is really just a grievance with Drift as a character. He just isn't meant to be my fave. I like him though.

When Drift first appeared, they seemed to be trying just a little too hard to make him seem cool. This miniseries attempts to give the character more depth through his backstory, and does an OK job, but it doesn't entirely erase that initial impression. The Crystal City setting is actually more intriguing than our star... (B)

I'm not entirely sure how this arc fits into the larger story, but I know it didn't really work for me. Have I missed or forgotten this character earlier in the series, or are we really thrown into his development just like that?

Me gustó como pudo cambiar y dejar atrás el ser un decepticon. Gracias al amigo que creyó en el.

Me gusta que los caballeros sean como referencia a samurais y de paso. Muy bonito el estilo de dibujo.

Beautiful artwork. Clean and concise story. Good message. Some general understanding of cybertronian lore is helpful, but you don't need to have a super in-depth understanding to enjoy the comic.

From Drift to Deadlock back to Drift was story which described the profound change of one of the most interesting character of the transformers universe. He was personaly renamed by Megatron only to change his name after meeting somebody who was neither autobot or decepticon. The influnce of that culture made a trick, which made him to chose autobots and became decepticon traitor.

Fun time with transforming robots who think they are samurai. Drift is definitely the type of character I gravitate towards. You're basic stoic loner who's done bad things but seen the error of his ways. We're not blazing new trails, here. Still, it's fun, the character designs are really slick and now I kinda want that Wing figure that just came out. bah!
