Ibn Arabî et le voyage sans retour « Je sus que ma parole atteindrait les deux horizons, celui d’Occident et celui d’Orient », déclare Ibn Arabî (1165-1240) à la suite d’une vision survenue dans sa jeunesse. L’histoire lui a donné raison. Depuis plus de sept siècles, son œuvre n’a cessé d’être lue, méditée, commentée dans toutes les langues vernaculaires de l’islam ; il a exercé une influence majeure sur le soufisme, la dimension mystique de l’islam. La vindicte persistante des oulémas (docteur de la Loi de l’islam) à son égard atteste la force de sa présence parmi les « Hommes de la Voie ». Il est le grand Docteur mystique de l’islam. Pas de question intellectuelle et religieuse qu’il n’ait abordée dans son œuvre immense (plus de quatre cents ouvrages !). Claude Addas retrace ici la vie et l’œuvre de ce grand « voyageur », exceptionnel « vivificateur de la religion », comme on le désigne dans la tradition musulmane. Claude Addas Diplômée des Langues orientales, auteur d’une thèse sur Ibn Arabî, elle poursuit ses recherches sur ce grand soufi andalou.

از روی عنوان فکر می‌کردم که بیشتر درباره سفرهای ابن‌عربی باشه،ولی شرح‌حال خیلی مختصری‌ست از زندگی ابن‌عربی، آثار و عقایدش و میراث فکری که ازش به‌جا موند. موضوعی که این کتاب رو متمایز می‌کنه، پرداختن به اوضاع اجتماعی و سیاسی و همین‌طور وقایع مهم تاریخی هم‌دوره ابن‌عربی‌ست. ترجمه خیلی خوبی هم داره.

Reading it reminds me why Ibn ʿArabi is often called al-Shaykh al-Akbar: his journey was not merely across lands, but across the inner horizons of the soul. One line struck me deeply — that his teachings were destined “to spread over the two horizons, that of the West and the East.”

In a world searching for meaning, his wisdom continues to travel, unbound by geography, time, or culture. And in my own small way, I feel honoured to walk even a few steps along that vast path he illuminated.

کتاب را پیش از سفر سوییس در میانه‌ی جنگ ۱۲ روزه‌ی اسرائیل علیه ایران خواندم به امید آن‌که در سوییس بتوانم نویسنده‌اش را ببینم اما نیافتمش. عداس دختر مایکل شوتکیویچ است. پدر مدتی شاگرد (شاید باواسطه‌ی) فریتیهوف شوآن بوده.
کتاب کوچک اما پرمغزی است. از این کتاب دو یادگار به هم‌راه خواهم داشت. یکی آن جمله که گفت: خدا به دست مؤمن آفریده می‌شود؛ اگر مؤمن از رفتار مؤمنانه (امنیت‌بخشی و آرام‌دهندگی) دست بکشد دیگر روزنه‌ای برای تماشای خداوند در جهان وجود نخواهد داشت؛ هم برای دیگران و از آن بن‌یادین‌تر، برای خودش!
و دوم آن‌که گفته بود ابن عربی خواب می‌دید از دهانش مو می‌روید و این را به آفرینش دیوان‌های اشعارش تعبیر کرده بود. که برآمده از این‌همانی ریشه‌ی شِعر و شَعر (مو) در عربی است. من هم گاهی این خواب را دیده‌ام.

Une introduction ,courte certes.. mais, parfaite pour la rencontre du Sheikh Al Akbar et l’embrassement de la doctrine akbarienne. Elle ne rate aucune des notions chères à notre Sheikh, allant de « l’homme parfait » accompagné dd ses « sceaux » passant « à la distance de deux arcs ou plus près » de « la terre de contemplation » dans « le monde imaginal »…
Claude Addass est définitivement, pour moi, L’auteur ultime pour commencer le voyage vers Ibn Arabe, certainement , un voyage sans retour…

aku boleh tolerate sikit-sikit tapi kalau byk sgt, rasa kurang enak pula membacanya. macam bukan hasil kerja yang serius.

İbn Arabi ve onun tasavvuf yolculuğu hakkında çok kıymetli bir kitap. Kitaba heyecanla başladım ancak çeviride Arapça-Osmanlıca sözcükler o kadar yoğun ve bence gereksiz şekilde kullanılmış ki, maalesef pes edip kitabı okumayı bıraktım. Umarım bu Türkçe çeviriyi, gündelik Türkçe kelimelerle okuma fırsatımız olur.

Many Waliyullah back and forth to future and current stream of time and do all kinds of Karamah, but I instead questioned whether one of them ever returned to the port where this Voyage of No return began to sail.
