High Prairie

Rate this book
It was the toughest job that Jim Kinsey had ever faced - telling Abe Riggs he was quitting as foreman of his vast High Prairie Ranch. The Old Man had been like a father to Jim, and now, with Wyoming in the strangle hold of a cattle-killing drought, Riggs needed all the help he could get. But Kinsey had been in love with Priscilla Riggs since she was knee-high in dolls, and Priscilla was engaged to Luntz Paden - a man Jim neither liked nor trusted. He would give his notice and ride on.But before he could ride on, gunfire broke out. Like drumbeats of destiny, those gunshots foretold change, conflict, and violent in the open range country that Jim loved.
