Using references from Tanach, Chazal, Zohar, and various commentators, Zecharya Hoffman paints a realistic picture of what it was like for Egyptians and Jews alike during the final stages of the Hebrew enslavement leading up to the Exodus from Egypt, including detailed descriptions of life during the ten plagues. A must-read for anyone who wants to fulfill the mitzvah of envisioning oneself as though he, himself, was redeemed from bondage during the Seder night.

Cute story, but not such awesome dialog and writing. But I still liked it. Very smooth and easy read.

Good Pesach reading, but the writing style struck me as amateurish. The dialogue was too wordy to be real and there were some anachronisms (or the opposite, ie modern phrases and features wrongly placed in Ancient Egypt). But I was hooked on the story and it was definitely kosher!

My favorite book. Shows what really happened during the exodus, not the horribly historically inaccurate media most know. (Such as the videos "the Ten Commandments" and the Disney one)
