When his PR firm sets up a fauxlationship with Scarlett Grisham, he immediately knows it won’t work. Why? Her 18-year-old daughter, Madison Devereux.

There wasn’t a lot of depth to their relationship, but plenty of chemistry. Likewise, I wanted to punch Knox with his double standards. But I simultaneously wanted to climb him like a tree… Overall, a good read from a new-to-me author whom I’ll definitely read again!

-Knox is a bad boy and MANHORE of the NHL. He’s finally pushed it to far and has to agree to a fake relationship and some community service as a PR stunt to save his career and reputation.

-Madison the daughter of a famous actress wants nothing to do with that whole world. Scarlett her mom is looking to get her career back on track and agrees to a fake relationship with Knox. The contract is for 1 year. Madison is a girl who knows what she wants out of life and doesn’t buy into the hyped life of Hollywood. BUT she has a toxic relationship with her mom who constantly manipulates and guilt trips her. She has a hard time standing up to her mom.

-When Knox moved in with them to keep up appearances they officially meet and sparks fly. 🔥

Before we get into the review… NO Knox does not sleep with or exchange DNA with Scarlett the mother there is some minor kissing for photo ops BUT it’s more like playing a role and acting. 😅 alright now thats out of the way let get to the good stuff.

What I didn’t like
-Madison being so hung up in the “moms fiancé” thing. She knew it was fake… get over the guilt honey🙄. She was a complete doormat to her mom and even to her fake boyfriend. This girl had no guts or backbone.
Madison thinks all this logical and smart stuff but DOESN’T DO THEM! She does the exact opposite. It’s infuriating 😫
It doesn’t stop her from the relationship but it just felt repetitive and annoying after a while. I mean… we get it deal and move on already.

-This was a 5 star read for me until the end. The last 3rd act break up was SO stupid. Madison didn’t think for herself once again and she believed the worst in Knox and wrote him off without a thought. He mother is a horrid bitch but Madison saw with her own eyes what went on behind closed doors for 8 months. She also knows how her mother manipulates. So her believing the lies to that point made me REALLY DISLIKE her. Her telling Knox that he always lies? Since when? What a an idiot 🙄.
He legit is a willing to give up EVERYTHING for her and she can’t even have a 5 min conversation to get his side! Think honey🤔 use those brain cells. Gah 😫 Knox deserves better then that.

Oooooohhhh good Lordy, guys, lol. Super hot and naughty 🙈. Knox is all in from like day 2, lol. Poor Madison doesn't know what to do with herself - or the smexy beast of a man who has decided she's his. She already is going through a rough time with her mother and feels guilty about not being the person her mom wants her to be and here's Knox, 11 years older, seducing the heck out of her, compounding all her feelings of guilt. He's jealous, possessive, and completely obsessive. Knox is also quite the paradox. He's simultaneously manipulating her into having a relationship with him and trying to free her from the controlling influence of her mom - at the same time. Great story that moves well, you'll definitely get invested in their story and how they're going to work their happily every after.

I absolutely loved Sweet Addiction by Kelly Kelsey! This is her brand new book that will be out very soon.

It’s a standalone about Knox and Madison, who have an instant connection together. Madison is the daughter of Scarlett Devereux, who is famous and wants to keep her big status by getting engaged to the mysterious bad boy, Knox McCabe. Knox McCabe is an NFL player who has done some shady things in the past. Knox needs to find a way to make himself look better in the spotlight, and in doing so has to become engaged to Scarlett. What Knox never expected was to fall for his fiancé’s daughter in the process.

Sweet Addiction is a very fitting name for this book, since I could not put it down. It’s one of those forbidden love stories that you just get sucked into and have to find out how the story ends. I am a sucker for a good forbidden romance story, and as always Kelly never disappoints with her fantastic writing! This might be a forbidden story, but it’s also such a heartwarming one. Madison has always been forced to do the things her mom wants for her, but once Knox comes into the story everything changes. I just loved seeing how supportive Knox was of what Madison wants and not what her mother wants for her to be.

Knox is very possessive of Madison, and will not hesitate to make that well known to those that go near her. He is also a very kind and caring soul, who loves fiercely and will never be unfaithful to those he cares for. I love a good character who won’t cheat or be unfaithful, and Kelly made him into just what I was hoping for.

Madison is an interesting character, who clearly has a lot of inner struggles due to her mom’s controlling and pushy personality. I really loved seeing Madison grow and realize that she is her own person. I believe Knox really helped with that in this story.

Gah, the plot and romance was just perfect! There was so much exciting drama, steam, and plenty of sweet moments. Anytime Kelly comes out with a new book, I just can’t put it down. There’s something so unique and exciting about her writing and you definitely see that in this book. There are many what if’s and why’s in this story, but in the end love always wins.

I could seriously go on and on about this book. I won’t though.. So just go and READ it….

Highly recommend if you like forbidden romance with many unexpected twists and plenty of steam!

This book could be good if the couple just start with just both of them, and not with other people. Because this book start with the hero is a total major manwhor3 and have a bad situation with his reputation as a NFL player so the hero have to fix it. His team decided and highly recommended him to fix the whole situation with him being in a fake engagement with a actress that six years his senior. Someone older than him but not too old… At first the hero doesn’t want it but then he said okay because his situation is just tight up. And then he meet the actress, his team and her team meet up talked about the situation and both agreed. The hero moved to the actress house in LA of course, and started their fake engagement. While the hero was there for couple of weeks, THE HERO NEVER EVER touched the actress. Even when the actress tries many times to seduced him, flirt with him, he never ever say yes. He always runs away and say no. And his hands is so fast to escape from the woman😂 Then one day like couple of weeks later, the actress told the hero that her daughter is coming by to live in the house for her school year. The hero said yes. Then when her high school daughter comes by, the hero was struck. The hero immediately blown away… Because he wants the daughter so bad like he never ever wanted anyone before… And that’s where they’re crazy and complicated and annoying love story starts…

See? Complicated. Because it start of with the hero have to be in a fake engagement and live in the same house with the actress, AKA SOMEONE ELSE. Not with the heroine herself which is THE DAUGHTER of the actress. Because the actress is famous and the hero is famous, they have to play a fake parts of them go to dinner together and go to events together as a couple. WHICH IS EXHAUSTING to read because i felt bad for the heroine to see all of that when they the heroine and hero already in a real relationship. Like that happens quite some time and we have to read that too… See. EXHAUSTING😬🙄

Like I get the whole step daughter kink like that, but some books already have the them start as a couple. Not like this one that have to start with the hero have to be in a fake engagement and have to be seen with the fake fiancée 🥵😵‍💫 AND THE WHOLE FAKE ENGAGEMENT HAPPENS FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS…. LIKE EIGHT FVCKING MONTHS!

Too long… And i know it’s a FAKE ENGAGEMENT, but still, they live in the same house and have to be seen out together which means still going out together tho. And not mentioned, THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS THEM AS A COUPLE 🫠

THANKFULLY the hero and his fake fiancée didn’t sleep in the same room. Never ever have s3x. NEVER.

And ALSO the heroine have a fake boyfriend at school. Even though it’s fake, it was pretty romantic fake relationship lol. Because they were touching, only in a formal parts not in that private parts😂, kissing and even go to prom together. And this happens for many times too because the heroine said she have to keep up with the image at school for her popularity 😂😂😂🤣




‼️‼️‼️I did enjoyed this book and reading it till the end. But it wasn’t a pleasing read…. Many times i said and curse to the scenes where it’s annoying. And unnecessary. The kink was too annoying lol🙄

But the beginning and in the middle, it was not totally safe tbh. because the couple have to start their relationship in secret, the whole time for eight months while the hero live in the same house with the heroine and her mother. The hero have to go out, have his fake fiancée AKA THE HEROINE’S MOTHER to touch his hand and go out for dinners in those period of time. So even though it was safe, it was annoying to see that 💀 And also for many times the heroine have to touched and be seen with her fake boyfriend at school to keep up with the image at school😓 So idk if i have to say it’s totally safe or not lol.

Immediately after the hero and heroine saw each other for the first time in a very complicated situation of the hero being engaged with the heroine’s mother, they still feel a strong feeling inside of them when they first meet…

I enjoyed this book. Knox was so over the top as he was so obsessed with Madison and did things to keep Madison close. Now I’m not one to typically gravitate to this MMC character but I loved how Madison would push back against Knox. When it came to Madison’s mother she just wanted to make her happy and not disappoint her but the famous actress honestly did not care what her daughter thinks at all. This led to sneaking around and lies.
The spice was the perfect amount. If you go into it just have fun with it.

NFL star Knox needs a PR makeover after some questionable public behavior. A fake engagement with fading starlet Scarlett is to clean up his image. Problem is…Scarlett’s 18-year-old daughter, Madison.
From the second he lays eyes on her, Knox knows it’s over for him. The chemistry? Fire. His obsession? Shamelessly delicious. His methods? Questionable… but also somehow, so right.

Knox is completely consumed by Madison, emotionally, physically, mentally. From early on, it’s clear, there is no plan B. No other woman, no hesitation. Just Madison.

Let’s just say it, the mom is batshit crazy. Her emotional manipulation and gaslighting tactics are infuriating. It’s frustrating to watch Madison continuously roll over and take it. Girl, grow a backbone. The line that killed me:

“Mom loves me, sure. But am I confident that love would continue if I told her what I really want to do with my life? No.”

Excuse me, what??

The fake-dating subplot with Madison and the school quarterback felt a bit off. It seemed more like a plot device to create mutual jealousy. Still, it added tension, even if the logic was a little shaky.

Slight spoilers ahead about the third act conflict:
Of course, everything blows up and Scarlett, being the toxic psycho she is, lies and says she and Knox have been sleeping together all along. Madison eats it up with zero hesitation. It’s maddening. After all the trust, all the effort, all the obvious love Knox has shown, she still doubts him.
And Knox is the one who has to grovel. Again. Madison’s spine remains MIA. Even in the end, she still asks:

“But what about Mom?”

What about the fact that your mom tried to destroy your and Knox’s life?

So this book is a bit messy, fun but addictive and I devoured it in one sitting. Knox clearly steals a show while I would have liked to see more growth in Madison.

Sweet Addiction was a seriously steamy forbidden romance between teacher/coach and mother's fiance Knox and the innocent Madison. Immediately falling into lust at first sight, Knox can't stay away from Madison even if that puts his career in jeopardy, which was the reason he agreed to the fake engagement with her mom. Madison tries to resist the tempting man, but his pull is too strong, and they embark on a secret romance that turns emotional. At some point, their secret relationship will become public, and how much are each willing to lose if that happens.

Man, this book brought the spice and heat with a dirty talking alpha! There's still plenty of plot, so you don't get shortchanged in that department either. Knox is jealous, possessive and oh so over the top, which I loved. He was unapologetically obsessed with his girl good or bad. Madison had a difficult journey with the complex relationship she shared with her mother and how guilt played into it. It felt very true to a young people pleaser wanting to salvage any relationship with her parent. Despite that, she tried being mature in a situation above her head. I enjoyed her feeling like she was a good match for Knox as well as being rightfully hesitant and jealous at times. She didn't seem too much in either direction and a heroine you wanted to see set free from her burdens. There was the right amount of angst and forbidden feelings with serious consequences in play. I loved it and think this is some of the author's best work yet!

My second book of Kelly Kelsey, I knew it that I would love this one the moment it was released and I did, very much.
Knox McCabe the Man that you are!! Ughhhhhh!! How can be someone so obsessed?? Madison is Lucky she got him so whipped, that he can't see anything else. The plot was good, they really had a mess start, among all the chaos they chose to be with each other, more like Knox chose to be with his Dove, this man is so devoted to our girl, from the beginning he is always like I'm not gonna give you up, never! You're Mine ( growls) lol!! It's not like Madison pushed him away, not at all! OUR GIRL IS AS CRAZY AS HER MAN! HE CHASES HER AND SHE LIKES BEING HIS PREY. 😏🥵
Madison's mom played the perfect role of an evil witch mom, but I loved the outcome, because even if she created a lot of shit for both of them, tried to keep them apart! KNOX took down all the obstacles, he proved again and again that he is A ONE WOMAN MAN, and belongs to only ONE WOMAN and that is MADISON DEVEROUX.

I GENUINELY LOVE ME A MAN WHO IS THIS CRAZY ASS PSYCHOPATH FOR HIS LITTLE DOVE! WHO WILL GO ANY LENGTH TO HAVE HER!! EVEN IF HE HAS TO RISK HIS CAREER, HIS IMAGE, HIS REPUTATION EVERYTHING.
HE WILL HAVE HER BY ANY MEANS! END OF DISCUSSION.

They both fought for each other, and got their well deserved HAPPY ENDING, A Family, and Their Babies. 🥺❤️

Knox and Madison are beautiful together and honesty stole my friggin heart. The forbidden moments, alphaness and utter chemistry, lust and love will leave your heart fluttering.

Both the characters have vunerabilities but together they overcome which is captured perfectly. Knox and Madison are drawn together from the get go and their interactions will leave you in swoonworthy terroritory.

For me Madison's mum is controlling and pushy which has had an effect on Madison but for me her strength is beautiful.

The story, plot and growth is just everything i needed in this book!! Kelly slays yet another book😍😍

I was hesitant reading this due to him being “fake” engaged to the h mom! I must say i LOVED this book❤️ Knox was all about Madison no matter what obstacles came their way🥰 If you’re like me I had to know before I started this book, Knox DID NOT have any sexual relation with Madison’s mom! It was all a PR stunt to better their image. I hated the mom in this book, never really redeemed herself in my opinion😡She was awful! Knox was my fav type of H, OTT JP total alpha! There is quite a bit of mention of his past, him being a manho and reckless behavior which is why the PR stunt was necessary. His NFL career is on the line. Thankfully no ex f**k buddy’s ever show up like some authors like to do!! The only OW drama would be the mom. I can’t express enough how much I HATE her…

Ms. Kelsey this book and Knox were perfect. The taboo part was a mix of what I needed. Knox was the book boyfriend you crave especially with his dirty words. Madison was the girl you want as a friend. These two and this story was amazing. Knowing these two blur the lines is what made me so intrigued by this book. Then there is the subject of her mom and all I could think about was how needy she was. I was not a fan of her. Let's say Knox's grovel was everything you could imagine and want in groveling. This series is great and Im greatful I found this author.

This was the first book I have read by Kelly Kelsey and I have to say that I loved it! The forbidden/taboo relationship, possessiveness, and love was just great! I couldn't get enough of Knox and Madison!

Knox is trying to restore his image and career by agreeing to a fake relationship with Madison's mom. He doesn't expect there to be instant chemistry and attraction with Madison. Madison is just trying to finish her senior year of high school and move onto the future she wants, not the one that her mother wants for her, but that all gets thrown off course when she meets the possessive Knox McCabe.

I loved the dynamics between Knox and Madison. The sneaking around and forbidden feelings just made the book steamier. I was so glad that there were multiple epilogues! Such a good read.

Not much of a plot, mostly s*x scenes left and right.
I thought it was silly the H was so possessive. Reason being that he had insta lust for the h and at some point it turned something more. Since there isn’t much of a plot, I don’t know when he fell for the h or the other way around.
If you’re looking for a hot read, without character development or actual plot, then this may be the book for you.

If you love OTTP then Know is the man for you.

This has me on the edge of my seat so many times x love a sneaking around romance. After list at first sight for both Knox and Maddison, the fight Maddison puts up doesn’t last long and with Knox you will see why, oh his mouth - 🔥🔥. After getting caught, Knox shows Maddison that’s he’s all in and they get their HEA.

Great read that leaves you wanting more x

This book!! OMG this book!! It was amazing. It had the plot, it had the smut, it had everything. I loved it. Knox McCabe has a super dirty mouth and I loved every word he said. Madison got on my nerves a bit for letting her mother walk all over her and then she actually believed her mom when she said she had slept him. What an idiot. But Knox standing up for her made me happy. I loved his possessive and primal attitude. I would 100% recommend this book, especially if you want the spice!!!

OMG! This book was utter perfection.

Knox McCabe is an unapologetic alpha, dominate, possessive, OTT male, who goes after what he wants, with no fucks given and consequences be damned.

His sporting career on tenterhooks, to clean up his image, under a mutual facade he becomes engaged to Scarlett. He slams in to Madison’s life like the calm before the storm.

Madison dreams of becoming a photographer, however they don’t revolve around her mothers aspirations of becoming involved with Hollywood elite.

Knox inserts himself into every aspect of Madison’s life, deconstructing her guard walls, pushing her limits, taking her out of her comfort zone, encouraging her to go after what she wants. He sees what Scarlett does to Madison, her emotional manipulative machinations know no bounds, and he won’t stand for it.

All it takes is for Knox to over hear Madison in the act of a private moment, a touch and a kiss, and now she is all he sees, feels and tastes, for he has claimed her as his, and he will stop at nothing to ensure she reciprocates in return.

For Knox and Madison embark on an illicit romance. He claims her innocence. He is consumed by Madison physically, mentally and emotionally. He cannot satiate his need for her. He takes her on a sensual journey, a sexual awakening the likes of which she has never experienced. He claims all of her firsts. But more importantly Madison becomes a mom to their beautiful daughter Luna and an even more amazing wife to Knox. For she is thankful that he pursued her, for they wouldn’t have the life they are living. For there happily ever after is truly the most wonder out thing of all.

And those blazing hot bedroom scenes, you will need a fan to stoke the flames because their developing relationship ignited passions and desires that would not be denied.

Highly recommend both author and book!

not gonna lie, i enjoyed reading it, but it was quite superficial. their relationship was definitely based on lust, seeing as how all their interactions on page were just sex, her being guilty but sleeping with him anyway, sex again, both of them being jealous, her being guilty again, etcetc.

characters felt very… flat? even after reading the whole book i can’t genuinely say that i know anything about the characters beyond surface level. why does madison like photography? what hobbies does knox have? what are their personalities even?

i would have loved if there was more non-sexual interactions between each other, like getting to know one another? taking her out on a date? like what happened to that? then the “i love you declarations”… babes what do you love about each other 😭 i was not feeling the deeper connection between the two characters.

also this pipeline where the manwhore that fucks any hole suddenly falls in love with a barely legal virgin and thus changes his ways is so icky and overused… the dynamic is not balanced at all…. it would have been okay if there was a clear emotional connection that ran deeper than pure lust, but since there was barely any, it just made knox seem like a forbidden-fruit-chasing creep imo 🤷🏽‍♀️ not gna blame madison, atp she’s a victim

this kind of plot is more common in novellas where it’s very fast paced thus there isn’t much space to expand, however this book is basically a full novel, so i don’t understand why it couldn’t be developed more.

Usually, I wouldn’t touch this book with a 10 foot pole because of the hero being engaged to the heroines mom. That is usually a no go for me. But, being in Knox’s head I really didn’t have an issue with it because you knew what he was thinking the whole time. And honestly, as soon as he meet the heroine he wanted her and only her. He was so OTP possessive and he was the touch her and he’ll kill you vibes. Which I loved. Knox made this book. Knox didn’t like the heroines mom at all. They did have to kiss and look all lovey dovey out in public sometimes, but knowing that Knox only had eyes for his Dove made this book. He didn’t have any sexual thoughts about the heroines mom at all.

Knox made this story. He is everything I love in a hero. So devoted to his woman. 😍😍😍

Did I like that he kisses her mom? Absolutely not. But the way it was done in the book, it really didn’t bother Me. There’s only like 2 scenes detailed in the book and she basically just pecks him on the mouth. So, it definitely doesn’t have any gross scenes of them making out. Hero is all for the heroine at all times, and he’s the kind of hero who would rather die than hurt his dove. Knox made this book. 😍

If I'm being honest, this book was bad. It seems like as if it's written by a teenage girl on Wattpad. I don't like any of the characters. There's almost no plot. It's just sex after sex scenes. The fact that Knox began lusting right after he saw Madison was a huge turn off. What the fuck was up with him hitting Talan like that? Even the most possessive stalkers don't do that. To make matters worse, there are so many errors, like missing quotations. I didn't like it. The only reason why I gave two star is because Knox actually came clean about his relationship and cared about her.

These aren't the type of tropes I typically go for so maybe that threw me off the book to begin with but I also just couldn't stand any of the characters. Madison was a complete wet papersack of a push over for 90% of the book, Knox's over the top possessiveness and ego were just cringe rather than hot. The twelve inch thing was eye roll worthy. There is also no reason a book needs to use the word "whilst" 31 times.

These two have some real chemistry between them but that is about as deep as we get in this book. I really wish we could have gotten to the meat of their relationship. And good gosh is anyone has ever had double standards it was Knox which just about drove me crazy. But it was a good story and it sure packs the heat.

this book really needed some contractions !! i physically had to re read pages so many times, as well as reading as fast as i could just do that i could skim a page, to help with the dialogue man. it felt so unnatural.
when having a casual conversation between two people, it took me so out of the headspace to see “i do not feel like going” instead of “i don’t feel like going”, or “i will not lie to you” instead of “i won’t lie to you” or, “i am not in the mood”, please just use “i’m” 😭😭😭
it doesn’t seem bad but it’s every single sentence where there could’ve been a contraction to help the flow, but there never wasS 😭😭

not hating on the book though!! the smut itself was super hot, and i loved how ott possessive the H was. i thought that these two had a good amount of chemistry, and the drama was entertaining even if it was predictable.
i did find myself laughing a few times at sentences like “i promise you, i didnt fuck your mum” during dramatic moments… because like… what?? HAHAHAH

but no, the book was good. i just really really really wish the dialogue was more natural because it genuinely took me ages to try and read even just a few sentences, and it 100% took me out of reading mode :((

i feel like such a hater when i genuinely did like the book but i just guess i never realised how much of a contraction freak i was until now <33

This is one of those books that sucks you in from the first page. Once again Kelly created a beautiful forbidden story filled with drama, loveable characters, and spicy scenes that will leave you needing a cold shower.

The story follows Madison the daughter of a famous washout actress Scarlett Devereux and Knox the biggest star in the NFL. After Knox gets in trouble with the law and is on the verge of losing his career his PR team comes up with a plan to fake an engagement to Scarlett for one year to help his image. What Knox didnt expect was to become addicted to Madison.

Madison is struggling to become her own person under her mom’s control. She has a lot of internal conflicts with herself on how she wants to live her life. Her growth is phenomenal, with the support of Knox she’s able to become the person she wants to be.

Knox is super possessive over Madison the moment he meets her. I love the bond he shares with her. Deep down he had a caring heart. Plus his Alpha side, his dirty words!! Ugh I live for that!!

I’d recommend this story to anyone who loves a good forbidden age gap romance with delicious spice and an addictive plot that keeps you engaged till the last page.

HOLY MOLY!!! HOT AF!! WOW!!! My first book by this author and I would like to say I have never read anything so deliciously sneaky before. I loved every minute of this book. Every page had me on edge. Knox is a playboy football player who was constantly in the tabloids with bad press and Scarlett was a young actress who got pregnant by her older married director and it was all over the news. Madison is the daughter of Scarlett and she starts to develops an attraction for her moms fake fiancé, Knox. Knox starts to feel possessive over Madison. It was like an instant attraction for them both. However, living under the same household, things get intense when they start to run into each other everyday. All the while the mother is oblivious to it because she’s so self obsessed….the chemistry between Knox and Madison is great, they bring the heat but also it becomes more than that. Falling for each other, Knox is ready to be all in but Madison is torn between wanting to give into her feelings but also not betraying her mother. Scarlett is also manipulative towards her daughter and wants her to follow in her footsteps which Madison doesn’t want that career.
