The Shimmering light On the Birth of the Interceding Prophet

Rate this book
Verily, in mentioning the chronicles and biography of our master, the Messenger of Allah, lies the illumination of hearts and an increase in love and faith; a strengthening of connection and attachment; a purification of the inner-secrets; and pleasure from Allah and nearness to Him and His Beloved and Chosen One. In The Shimmering Light lies a quintessential summary of the account of his birth, how he was raised, and his life. Through it, life is given to gatherings and homes, and they are infused with light.

Excellent translation of this beautiful and blessed poem that many of us recite individually and collectively daily, weekly, monthly, or as much as Allah blesses us to recite it. The introduction on the intentions before Mawlid is perfect. Don't neglect to read it. Just excellent in content, beautiful aesthetically, perfectly translated, and mubarak. Get a copy if you can find one. Alhumdulillah, may Allah reward everyone involved in this effort, and bring Mawlid to more of our communities in the West as we need this sweetness and the path of love of Allah through loving the Best of Creation, Sayyedina Al-Mustafa ﷺ.

ما ذكر الحبيب لدى المحب * إلا وأضحى والـهـا نـشــوانا
By Allah, never is the Beloved mentioned
in the presence of the lover
Except that he becomes passionately overwhelmed with joy
أيـن المحبون الذين عليهم * بذل النفوس مع النفائس هانا
Where are the lovers who find ease
In sacrificing their souls and every precious thing
[for their Beloved]?
لا يسمعون بذكر طه المصطفى * إلا به انتعشـوا وأذهب رانا
Never do they hear a mention of Täha, the Chosen One,
Except that by it they are revived and the rust
[upon their hearts] vanishes

فاهتاجت الأرواح تشتاق اللقاء * وتحن تسأل ربها الرضـوانا
Their souls have become aroused, yearning for the encounter,
Longing and asking their Lord for His good pleasure
