Simply good enough to provide you with basic expressions to have a date or two in Chinese. But sometimes too specific and I asked my friends told me some of the expressions aren't used and outdated. This book is a so-so, in chinese we called 一般。

Adorable, though the pin yin is not right. The phonetics are however correct. I would not recommend this for someone who has no background. For those that have studied a bit of Chinese or are foreign born, this book is fantastic.

Cheesy title but actually a good reference! Have to remember that this is still a Tuttle book. Has pinyin with tone marks AND characters. The language is also (presumably) not the stuffy phrasing you find in textbooks, but none of that outrageous slang nobody really uses, or would dare to use.
