The Goetia is the most famous grimoire after the Key of Solomon . The owner of this handbook of sorcery was Dr. Thomas Rudd, the most important scholar-magician of the early seventeenth century, and a magical successor to Dr. John Dee. The Goetia of Dr. Rudd explains how the 72 angels of the Shemhamphorash are used to evoke and safely bind demons―material that has not been made available in any previous edition. This rare volume contains a transcription of a hitherto unpublished manuscript of the Lemegeton and includes illustrations drawn from rare manuscripts held in the British Library.
Dr. Stephen Skinner, Ph.D. (Classics, University of Newcastle, 2014) author, editor, publisher, and lecturer. He is known for authoring books on magic, feng shui, sacred geometry, and alchemy. He has published more than 46 books in more than 20 languages.
I finally found a copy of this so-called forbidden book, with all its forbidden knowledge, and it turns out to be all lists of entities I seriously think were fabricated for this "grimoire". Maybe some of them used to be pre-Judaic deities, but that does not mean they are deadly dangerous demons. Pretty much, the point of this book is to do months of ritualistic cleaning, to prepare yourself to summon up a "demon" in the thousand names of God and His angels, so that you can magically/verbally/spiritually abuse/beat same demon into compliance, and ask his/her enemy angels to drag him/her to you after more beatings...so you can ask him or her for petty little things like getting a booty call or making women appear naked before you. Honestly, could you blame an entity for being furious with being summoned? I would say avoid using this book as a spell tome.

This is probably the best collection of the Goetia and a great companion to the lesser and greater key of Solomon books. I have this beautiful edition and it really is a must have for working with spirits or just for hyper fixating on this category of magic. It reads like a magical textbook, but I wouldn't expect anything less.
i have pre-ordered this from amazon. it ships out in september 2010. it is supposed to be really good and earlier versions are very hard to find and are very pricey.
