A lot of books claiming to be mystery and intrigue let you down because they lack complexity, or rounded characters or a depth you can lose yourself in. Not Camarin Grae. This woman has produced books that should be adorning every self respecting lesbian's shelves. Throw away the paper thin plots produced en-masse by modern day publishing houses and get CGs back catalogue.

These are seriously amazing books featuring plots that make you think ... why didn't I think of that? Or ... how did she come up with this?

The mind boggles.

Camarin Grae is like being 30, seeing an ice lolly you used to have when you were 10, buying it ready to be a bit disappointed but finding it it JUST as good as the memories.

It was fun to reread this sci fi lesbian thriller from 1986. It’s a superhero tale, a lesbian romance and a coming-out story. The hero is in an accident, gets a shard of glass in her brain, and ends up with miraculous powers. As she gets used to them, she also discovers her love for women. Meanwhile, the reader is trying to figure out who the villains are, who is trying to use the hero’s powers for her own selfish gains, and who wants to protect her.

The lesbian separatist mindset seems slightly quaint but very lovable.
