My seven year old loved this book so much we had to renew it twice from the library. She's a re-reader, so she's probably read it 8-10 times in the 8 weeks we've had it!
She also read Basher: Planet Earth: What planet are you on? by the same illustrator, and has asked me to get the rest of the series for her. There are quite a few of them, so we'll be working our way through them.

These books are both entertaining and informative, so kids want to learn about what they are reading. This one is especially good because some of my US punctuation skills have been corroded by a living in England during my formative years. My son can now correct me. ;)

This punctuation book is surprisingly punk. Sure, I knew about the basic punctuation marks long before I read this book, but it made me remember them more. I also like the exploration of more obscure punctuation marks like the ellipsis and the semicolon.

I really appreciate this whole series for Andrew and Evan as fun almost-reference-type books. Left-hand side is instructional and humorous (to my 10-year-olds, anyway, with silly senses of humor), and the right-hand side is a fun illustration, which often utilizes some sort of pictorial device for remembering the meaning.

Others in the series include Chemistry, Algebra & Geometry, Physics, Biology, Human Body, etc. Cute--good to have in the car, where they can pick it up, read a few pages, laugh a little, and move on to the next activity.

It's only fair to say that the boys would probably give them 4 stars. :D

This is a how to book. It is very interesting because the description of the different punctuation is written in first person (yes, the punctuation speaks for itself). It tells how to use each punctuation mark and gives lots of examples in the description. For each punctuation mark there was an illustration to help you understand and remember where the mark is used. I recommend this book to all kids wanting to learn about punctuation in a fun and exciting way.

I would definitely use this book to teach students about punctuation. You could have the characters up around the classroom to help remind the students of what marks they should use.

This clever review of punctuation marks and rules lacks the zip of Basher's science books, but it would make a nice classroom or library resource. I am considering using it as a readers' theatre script during our required punctuation review.

This series is cute and very informative! To be honest, I could have used these when I was in elementary school! However, one is not supposed to capitalize the seasons? Really!?

I was excited to find this one on the library shelves. It's fun to read and the illustrations are great. I love how it gives life to punctuation!
