I was intrigued by this at first because it is written a la "choose your own adventure." Except, in a supposed hip, cool, teen way called "choose your own destiny."
I was liking it a bit, but then everything just became completely disjointed, which I'm sure happens often with these types of books.
And then, when I took the path where Haley gets drunk at the prom, the story abruptly ended with her half naked in the back of a limo and I was told to go back to page 1 and start all over. I guess I wasn't supposed to want her to get drunk at the prom. Oh well. It sounded like fun at the time.

Okay so let me just say, that I completely messed up when buying this book. I actually meant to buy the first of the series but it wasnt til midway through the book i realized that this couldnt have been the first one. So i'll try to be objective since I havent read the whole series.

I was intrigued to read this best it was a 'create-your-own' novel book. But as I continued to read the story line seemed a bit lacking. Perhaps it was because of the way I choose to complete the story. But it just seemed kind of superficial. Maybe its just that my experience with High School wasnt defined by social groups that I really couldnt get into any of the characters. Oh well I'm probably way to old for this book anyway. But still I believe the story they try to give you could have been a lot stronger

I expected a little more from this. I love the concept and the cover (I have a real weakness for a flashy cover :) Anyhow, I didn't think the transitions were especially good between the "what would you do?" and the section you were directed to. But I still really like this idea, and I think a lot of girls would like this as light reading. Also not apparent is that this is a series about a particular highschool and has the same recurring characters and protagonist. I thought it would be written as if you, the reader, were the protagonist, but it's this Haley chick. Anyhow, the two authors are very educated, as pointed out by their bios in the back, but overall I didn't think that came through in the writing. I'll try some of the other titles to see if they are better!

I loved the idea of a CYOA for YA girls. However, this one wasn't well done. Very disjointed, and sometimes makes reference to choices you didn't make. Great idea, but poor execution.

Kitapta geçen hikaye çok basitti, seçimler konusunda hiç ikilemde bırakılmadım, aksiyonlu ya da olaylı şeyler bekledim ama hiç böyle şeyler olmadı. Kitabı 4 kere bitirdim fakat hala okumadığım bölümleri var ve her defasında baştan başlamanız gerektiği için bir süre sonra saçma bir hale bürünüyor.

I read this out of curiosity, because I was intrigued by the various scenarios that could enfold.
The story was quite stereotypical and frankly not exciting. Of course, I am an adult so my opinion might be slightly off track from that of the targeted audience. It's okay, but a bit plain, nothing too out of the ordinary from the usual popular kids, athletes, and that sort of story.
The "what would you do sections" took you out of the story in an unnecessary way.

After all, these novels cannot be perfect, in my opinion, but they are utterly terrific I may say!

Haley strikes again! After a decision-making spring break at Spain, Paris or at home sweet home, Haley is in it to win it. More choices to make, more hearts to break, Haley is a girl who has tons of friends, in different cliques. Having to choose between the art geeks, populars, nerds, or jocks, Haley has to go past the gossip, and into the truth.

Haley is becoming a stronger heroine every novel. She's fearless, but obviously has a problem choosing what she wants in life. That's why, the authors tell us to choose. I cannot say how predictable this was, or how much I loved the romance or characters, because that just depends on the path you make Haley take.

All it takes is one choice...

I've read through several different outcomes in the book and so I'm counting it read. I always enjoyed the choose your own adventure books as a kid, so I thought I'd give this one three stars because it didn't develop much in each story, but that's usually to be expected with a book of this type. I think middle school readers would enjoy this series. This is the first and only one I've read of this series so far. I guess I started in the middle of the series somewhere, but I got the idea of it. It's just a fun way to read a book when you get to choose some of the events that happen. I'd like to find choose your owns for adults!
And despite this title or suggestions on the back cover, there is nothing in the story as far as I've read that makes it inappropriate for younger readers. There is nothing r-rated or sexual in nature. There are some kissing scenes.

i think this book teaches a lesson the lesson is that no matter if everyone does something if you dont want you dont have to.Like basically this book talks about peer pressure everyone has thier own boyfriend or have come back from spring break being more closer to thier boyfriends but when haley gets her own boyfriend he wants to be close to but Haley is just not ready SO WITH THAT BEING SAID IF YOU DONT WANT TO DONT DO IT .I think its time for haley to move because nobody has the right to make or force to do something you dont want to do no matter who is doing or not so haley should be strong and fight peer pressure

What if everyone was doing it is by Liz Ruckdeschel. This book is definitely not one I would recommend. To be blunt, it was boring, confusing, and had lack of detail... or maybe too much? Although it was a good concept,but it was weak in more areas than it had strength. It was about a girl who had returned to school from spring break and she was "out of the loop" with her friends and social media. She hadn't had her phone buzz all week, then she returns to school and has to choose what path she wants to take. This book is also a "Choose your own destiny novel" so it lets you pick the path of Haley's future. So this book ended several different ways.

I liked this book because I could do what I wanted to do. Sometimes I read the possibilities of another choice like seeing what would happen if I took a sip of alcohol at the party. I also looked at different endings. In the book, I was basically a straight A student who did not focus on the yearbook very much. I liked the photographer. He was nice. I went to dinner with him. Overall, this book was great.

I seem to always pick these up. I need to find better short books to read in the library while I wait around. I think there is supposed to be an order to these, but it is hard to tell. They may just be seperate adventures that have nothing to do with each other. It would help a little if they were numbered.
