June 12, 2015, was when my wife and I left Brazil without knowing what our future held for us. From inside the plane, I looked at the city of São Paulo with its lights on which clearly broke the darkness of the night. I thought of everything I had gone through to get to that plane seat. After a lifetime of planning, we were going to another place where we did not know the difficulties, problems, benefits, joys or sorrows that would come. That doubt made my stomach feel so cold that it was capable of making my body tremble. What was going to happen next was as dark as that night, but the certainty of knowing that God was guiding us was as present as those city lights.This book portrays all the steps before we were on that plane. What came after that night, was and continues to be in God’s control.
