I have only ever found one other Annie Garrett book, which I read years ago and absolutely loved. It was unforgettable. So when I saw this book in a used bookstore, I grabbed it up. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, too--just not quite as much as the other. However, I like her writing and find her books hard to put down.

Y’all, after so much digging, I found the author’s true name & it turns out this was a rip off of The Glass Castle. A friend betrayed Jeannette Walls years before Walls ever wrote her own story!! I knew this plot seemed familiar. So wild.
