The goal of this book is to prepare students for health professional careers by providing anatomical information that will give them a solid foundation. While other exceptional anatomy texts exist, this one focuses on the essential information, the “Bare Bones” of anatomical concepts and facts that serve to provide a solid foundation for health care practitioners. This workbook presents an interactive, systematic approach to human anatomy that is appropriate for first and second year undergraduate students. Major units presented in this workbook include skeletal system, muscular system, nervous system and organ systems. The workbook consists of blank lines within the text that the students fill in during each lecture. This allows the educator to present information on the basics of human anatomy, while perpetuating student engagement and comprehension in each lecture. This type of interactive learning is geared to strengthen the student’s knowledge. Homework with multiple-choice, short answer, matching and labeling for each section are found at the end of each unit. Flashcards are included to further test comprehension of the material. Human cadaver pictures are found throughout the book, giving the student a glimpse into the human body.
