This book offers the only comprehensive discussion of the legal questions faced by museums as they acquire, use, and refine their collections. This second edition is completely revised, expanded, and updated, incorporating into the original format the many legal developments that have occured during the past 13 years.
With all the respect in the world to the authors.....this is just one of my favorite get to sleep books. It is truly one of the most peaceful, comforting things. It may not be a page turner...but it’s a word turner. I can’t stop reading word after word for a paragraph or two and then...sweet heavenly monotony as I am finally able to drift away from this crazy world into a place of expert slumber.
In fairness....I’m neither an attorney, nor a museum curator, most of whom, presumably, would use my medical books for sleep as well.
Also to be fair, I haven’t yet read the comprehensive section on stolen art...
Useful information on common topics related to museums including examples of forms. I wish there was a Canadian version and somewhere that the forms could be digitally downloaded.
