both give impassioned views on god, humanity, redemption, and hope after the darkness of the holocaust. wiesel’s words still ring painfully true today. in light of all the bad in the world, we have to keep hope in each other alive, no matter how little. we have to help each other, care for each other & fight against injustice. “you have asked about the future. the answer lies in our hands”.
