Micah Keeps Vigil is finally going home to stay after continually leaving for work. He Wants to settle down at his lodge and relax. When he returns home he finds Olivia, a photojournalist staying at his lodge to do a piece on winter sports. surprisingly, Olivia is a shifter but she doesn't seem to know it. As they get to know one another Micah knows he needs to get Olivia to accept who she is in order to get her to stay with him at the lodge as his mate.

I was really excited to read Micah's story. This is the third book in the Lusting Wild series. While each book can be read as a stand alone, some of the characters are reoccurring like Micah who has been in the two previous books. Because of that the series is best read in order. There isn't a clear explanation of how much time has passed since the second book but I am thinking it's been a few years since we see the MC's from book two, Changing Hearts, and they mention how long they have been friends.

Micah doesn't want to be an Alpha but the local wolf pack all view him as their Alpha. His pack is different in the sense that there isn't too much internal fighting and the pack chooses their leader. Since Micah won't take up the mantel they dont' have definite leadership but they all defer to him. He has a bit of a lone wolf aspect to his character.

I enjoyed Olivia with Micah. I read this book for Micah but I was pleased by how much I liked Olivia. There is also a sub story with Micah's god-daughter Talia but it doesn't take away from the love story. It does tone down the sexiness since there is a child in much of the book and they have to plan their sexy times around her. We are introduced to Micah's second, Gareth, who is almost an outcast because of his scars. He doesn't really 'fit in' but he has a place with Micah.His book is next so we will learn a lot more about him as well as have more page time with Micah and Olivia.

This is Micah Keeps Vigil's story. Book 3 in my Lusting Wild series. You meet Micah in book 1 (Changing Times) and he shows up again in book 2 (Changing Hearts). Finally, he gets to leave New Orleans and go home to Wisconsin. There he meets a shifter female who is everything he wants except one.

Olivia doesn't know she's a shifter. She's on medication to help her with her crazy blackouts and weird dreams about running on all fours. When Micah explains things, she thinks he's even crazier.

Micah has to decide if Pack is what he wants. Olivia has to decide if she can accept herself -- four paws, furry tail and all.
