This book contains a number of essays concerning the Third World circa 1988 or so. A point is made by one author and a counterpoint of that topic is made by another author. Fascinating and informative, this book would be great as a source for a research paper or a paper containing an opinion or something. I don't really pay attention to the news since it depresses me, but it would be quite interesting to read more things like this, with one point presented and a counterpoint given the same credence and weight.
This book gets you thinking about issues and topics, so it's really good.
This book is about viewpoints on whether aid that first world countries give to third world countries is the right thing to do. Certainly one of the best books I've read about social and economical problems in the third world. Though this book is packed with facts and bias ideas it shines a light over cloudy problem of the third world. I recommend this book to anybody that reads political and historical books.
