Something Must Be Wrong with Me is a book about Dino, a young boy who is sexually abused by his basketball coach who was also his friend. At first Dino is confused and does not know what to do and keeps it to himself but one day he is brave and tells his mother what happened. The book shows the whole process of the police, social work, and counseling getting involved. The author also includes tips and reminders to children and parents who have dealt or are dealing with something like this.

The overall theme of Something Must Be Wrong with Me is sexual abuse and the process of going through something like that.

When I read Something Must Be Wrong with Me, I was a little disturbed at first and I felt very bad for Dino. It was hard to read and think about anyone having to go through something like that.

I am not sure if I would recommend this book. I believe it is an important subject to teach young children about and that it can serve as a mirror and a window but it was a little hard to read. I did like that the reader is able to see all of Dino's emotions about the experience from confusion, to anger, to sadness.

The reader is able to see all of Dino's emotions as he experiences this.
