According to Worthpoint.com about Six-Fingered Stud:

"This novel, written shortly before Lance Horner's death, was intended to be a direct sequel to FLIGHT TO FALCONHURST. Legal problems held up publication in the United States, but the book was issued in hardcover by W.H. Allen in England. The text was finally rewritten and then issued in the United States as GOLDEN STUD but there was no reference to Falconhurst or the Tommy Verder character. Subsequent Falconhurst sequels ignored the events of this novel."
