This sits by my bed. Or it's tucked in my purse or backpack. Hell, this thing even finds its way into my beach bag. Basically, I love this little book. It's my go-to book whenever I have one of those "I wonder what works for ___" thoughts. The pictures are very pretty and help in identifying the herbs. It has a great collection of herbs, including common and not so common ones.
Besides the information itself, organization is key to a book like this. This one is organized well with an a-z of herbs by their common name, an herb directory organized alphabetically by Latin name, a section organized by ailment with page numbers to the corresponding herb, a picture gallery, a glossary, and a full index. I plan on adding this to my collection of reference books as soon as possible!
I really love this book! The pictures are gorgeous and there is a wealth of information about each herb! I really like how it tells you a bit of the herbs history! A past use here, a name origin there, and most importantly - safety information!
