A lot has changed for Reena Novak in the last few weeks. The end of the modern world. Sudden development of powers linked to the ash trailing Goliath. Visions and dreams calling her to The Source. Finding herself again. Every step has forced her to master her ability to control magnetic fields.
Reena will do anything to get her best friend Jaxson back, even if it means sacrificing herself. Her chosen path is harder than she expects, and it draws the attention of the ones she fears most—the Deranged. Now that they have her scent, they’ll never stop hunting her.
Her mission has not changed. The Source calls to her, and she needs to know why because things are changing in the world. The ever-increasing storms, strange migration patterns, and that feeling of wrongness in her chest is getting worse. As her powers grow, the more she senses something’s coming and fears she won’t be able to protect those she loves.
Reena needs her polar opposite by her side, but Remy still blames her for his uncle’s death. More importantly, the Deranged are closing in. It’s time to get to the coast, convince Remy to join their cause, and find a way to The Source. Perhaps, with the help of some new friends and a few miracles, Reena can put the pieces together before the damage is too great to repair.

After Goliath, a piece of a rogue planet, enters the atmosphere, ending the modern world. Reena, Jax, and their family must find a way to survive. The problem is, they've also begun to develop powers that are linked to something called The Source which they believe rests on Goliath.
Now they travel toward it and an unknown future. But first, they must rescue one of their own, escape the Deranged (cannibals) which hunt them, find new and old allies, and uncover the real reason The Source is such a threat. Only a few things, right?
And the good news, book 3 comes out 8/23/22!

The author did a great job describing the changed landscape and culture in this novel. I absolutely loved the image of Las Vegas abutting the ocean, and staring at that image underneath a full moon. Looking forward to the conclusion!

Source Ignited picks up where the first book ended. Reena is struggling to learn how to use her newfound powers correctly. But the rogue planet and the devastation it created are no longer the only crises she has to face.
This book two heads in the right direction in terms of the story. It amps up the action and drives the excitement right into the climax of the book. I also appreciate the complications of the romantic arc that Reena and Jax have as it adds to the tension of the story.
Looking forward to the ending in the final book of the series!

I loved this book! It is action packed and full of surprises. This series just keeps getting better! I can’t wait to see what happens in book three. Definitely a must read.
