At first, I thought this was a decent tale just with less action than a men's adventure book would have. Then it just went on and on that by the time they do the final battle (only battle), I just didn't care. Dean is hired to take out a terrorist school funded by a rich oil sheik that is in Corsica. Due to conflicts between the French government and Corsica nationalists plus the people in high places making money from the sheik, it has to be something outside official resources. Dean puts together a force and does recon forever for a quick battle at the end.
Don't recommend it. It's a very dull read, plus it has annoying POV chapters. Each chapter is from a different character POV and it goes back and forth, which can work, but one character, an annoying journalist, is in first person while all the others are third. His character pontificates about random stuff and just is a bore. Again, mainly, it's a men's adventure novel with very little action.
