Armed with a bouquet of flowers and a cheesy one liner, courage brings Geoff to Bridgette’s door, but his plans to ask her out on a date were ruined by a blood-curling scream…in Bridgette’s apartment. Instead of an attacker, he finds Bridgette—naked and cowering on a toilet seat—battling a spider. To salvage the situation, Geoff knew he needed a hell of a lot more than a cheesy one-liner to get a date.
Ever since Tara Nichols was a little girl she has had an affinity for romantic adventures. With crushes on the likes of Tarzan and Hans Solo she grew up looking for the perfect gentleman rogue. When she is not writing about romance, erotica or paranormal fiction she can be found tending her garden, keeping bees or reading a spy novel. Tara roams free on the flat prairie land in Manitoba Canada where she lives with her young son and husband.
Oohhh I wish it were longer. Though the very sweet portrayal of Geoff provided such a wonderful lunch time distraction. This was a great little taste of Tara Nichols' work and an introduction for me. I'll be back for some more of her wit and gently woven detatils into the tapestry of human vulnerability. Oh, and for the hot sex scenes too (more than just a tease this time), of course. Looking forward to my next read.
Cute and intriguing for such a short read. I see there is a second one which hopefully picks up on the erotic content (what the story is listed under at the publisher.) That seems misleading seeing as there is no sex in this story. But, I liked it. It left me smiling, and I really like the hero.
