uHm so I read this book for school and it was ok, I guess.

I feel like the plot was kinda random. This guy kills his dad, wants to be honourable by obeying his dad’s dying words, whatever.

*ENTER RANDOM CHARACTERS WHO MIGHT WANT TO KILL SAID GUY*

and then there’s a bunch of stuff with various doctor characters and some stuff goes down.

The entire book we are just inside the main character’s head while he ponders if he will go to jail. (Also I feel like we DEFINITELY needed more female characters?! It was just random guy after random guy)

The ending was trash. The main guy wakes up in a hospital and is like “i ShOuLd hAvE gOtTeN cLoSeR WiTh mY dAd 👉👈🥺” and then it’s the end of the book.

MY GUY GETS AWAY WITH HIS CRIMES AND NO ONE BATS AN EYE.

Anyway I didn’t like this book, do not read unless your French grade depends on it.

Quand même chouette histoire où le personnage se pense coupable de bien des crimes! Point de vue intéressant même si on est plus dans la fuite que l’enquête ici!

I didn't actually care about the main character until we got to the last couple of chapters, where he actually started interacting with other characters in a meaningful way, instead of running away from them or hiding from them. I think the author would have been more successful if he had allowed us to get to know the main character before he threw him into this dangerous situation. Still, the writing was good, concise, but a little lacking in detail and the occasionally rough transitions in the plot made it more work to read than it could have been. A good idea, nice storyline, but needed polishing.
