Our work supervisor bought this for everyone in the group to use as a team-building-think-out-of-the box-exercise, as well, we are a bunch of computer types and artistic things don't usually appeal. Most thought she was out of box. I learned how to draw a radish.
This is one of the most memorable books I've ever read. I love it with an aching nostalgia. My best friend got a copy when we were 15 and we read and re-read it for years. We made t-shirts with radishes on them. We wrote each other notes on bananas. And I still draw sleeping cats and excited chicks when I'm bored.
Fun little book with quirky drawing lessons, such as a fish going to work on Monday morning, worms at the beach, and the titular radish (including a variation of the radish reading the morning paper). It also has fun craft ideas for the workplace, using office supplies. A cute, creative little book, even if you don't have an office job. I have a lot of "serious" drawing books, and it's refreshing to have a more tongue-in-cheek book on the subject. The drawing lessons are simple and fun, and you can honestly say you can draw afterwards!
