Originally authored by the award winning author Janis Kuby, Immunology remains the best selling textbook for the undergraduate course. The first and only true textbook written by professors who teach the undergraduate course, it presents the most current concepts in an experimental context with clinical advances highlighted in boxes, supported by the kind of helpful pedagogical tools that other books do not provide.
And overall great book, but fails when trying to give detail, without actually explaining what is going on. The pictures and descriptions make it easy to understand. The text is terrible at explaining experiments. Thank God for colored pictures.
Good immunology basics. Images, Language, experimental data, references etc are well organized and easily understandable. But not much details are given on concepts. Hence excellent book for undergraduate studies.
Fundamental immunology textbook for beginners as well as first level of advanced learners. End of chapter exercises are good. But if you want an advanced textbook, go for Janeway’s Immunobiology. Kuby is definitely the first choice for any biology student though.
