(from the publisher's website) Jordan Falconer was born in Sydney, Australia, and from a very young age had an interest in ghoulies, ghosties and long legged beasties and all things that go bump in the night. After surviving Catholic school (twice!) she graduated from Sydney University with an honors degree in Psychology. She currently resides in Canada with her other half and three small, demanding dogs.
Extremely bad writing and worse editing. Plot doesn't make any sense most of the time, characters are shallow, uninteresting and need lots of work to be credible. Horrible read.
The 2 reviews of this book seem pretty harsh but I gave it a try anyway and I am glad I did because I really enjoyed it.
The way this book is written is different from typical paranormal romance books. It's not about some problem that occurs that needs to be solved by two girls who then have a romance while they try to solve that problem. Instead this books is about the girls themselves and their romance, and especially the main character, Carlice Crowley, who is a vampire, and her struggle to accept her feelings for Bronwyn who is just a regular teenager.
I liked both the characters and in the end I liked and cared about both of them and I was happy that they found one another and had a happy ending. The book really read like if you were friends with one or both of them and they were telling about how they got together and I quite enjoyed that.
I did think the ending got sort of odd because after they get together and their all mushy and sweet with each other the actual paranormal part of the story begins and all sorts of new characters are introduced and that takes the relationship of the girls to a new level. But all that is just too rushed and doesn't really add much to the story because by that point the girls are already together and in love.
Also in the Kindle version of this book there is some small problemswithspaces.
