There was one time that I started looking for books on financial management that could help me turn my financial situation around. I knew it would take time but with a bit of discipline and prayer, things'll work out just fine.

I've read other financial management books prior to buying and reading "The Storehouse Principle", which is based on Deuteronomy 28:8—"The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you." (NIV-UK)—however, none of them made much difference or impact in me. If you're (1) looking for that one book on financial management and (2) you're not looking for any other books in the market (as there are a LOT and teach generally the same thing), I think this is the book for you. "The Storehouse Principle" can be the only reference that you can refer back to over and over again.

The ideas being taught in the book is nothing near preachy, but they're practical and actually challenging. "Putting up storehouses" is more than just "saving for a rainy day". Although the book is generally grounded on biblical principles, its application is not limited to those who claim to belong to the elect; it's for everyone. Good stewardship is a universal teaching one can learn and apply into their daily lives.

You can recommend this to family, friends, and loved ones, too, so they can start their own storehouses. Better yet, you can start storehouses together. Not a bad idea, if you ask me :)

Using primarily OT verses, and then NT verses to confirm, the ancient Biblical truths of how to receive God's blessings on your financial storehouse (savings account) are revealed. Great stories and verses to demonstrate how to be the head and not the tail (Deut 28) by doing one simple thing - spending less than you earn.

After reading this book, I decided that I need to read it again and again, and share it with friends and family as well. This is one treasure book that all Christians need to apply in their lives to enjoy God's promise of prosperity and provision. All it takes is complete trust and full obedience to His Word. I am very much committed to see this real in my life!

Probably one of the best books on financial stewardship that I ever read. Short and sweet and to the point with a plethora of scripture, theological understanding and testimony

Good principles, like many books of this time it seemed repetitive over time and didn’t seem to add much value at the end of the book.

This is an excellent book that should be on everybody's bookshelf. One reviewer wrote,

"The back of the book contains Scripture references in three categories which relate to the topic: abundance, giving, and faith. A quote I found particularly helpful was from a pastor not identified who said, "many people miss the supernatural because they are looking for the spectacular." This book is practical. It isn't flashy. It's designed for doers. It shows how to put God's principle to work."

Following the principles in this book (they're nothing new really) will help you avoid a life of misery. Being poor may sound romantic, but believe me, it's not.

This is not some half-baked 30-page booklet from a 'doctor in theology' from Yippee Wahoo Praise God and Jesus (unaccredited) U. These guys know what they're talking about. If you're looking for inspirational quotes from some goofy prosperity preacher who tells gold, diamonds, jewels, and money to come to him in 16th-century English...keep looking.

People are not greedy because they have money. They were always greedy; you just never saw the greed until they had enough money to do something about it. p95
