With a lot of nudging from a well-meaning friend, and a visit from this recently-deceased brother, a young widower re-enters the world and find love and laughter.
Too many cliches. Think "Highway to Heaven" meets "A Charlie Brown Christmas" in the Hallmark town of Evergreen. That's this play. On the lameness scale (1 = minimal, 10 = hyperlame), this one merits about an 8.
This is a simple, sweetly humorous story of a widowed farmer who gets coaching from his ghost-brother in the art of developing a new relationship with a woman. Along the way he and his deceased brother find resolution on several accounts. A worthwhile play to produce around Christmas time, although the title unfortunately doesn’t convey that time of year.
