A 14-yr-old lass helps rescue her father in the days well before cars & phones. I picked this up from the ‘free books’ box outside the membership library to use as part of my entry fee for a performance requiring 2 books & a donation for postage. A group called “The Power of 12” is having a book drive for the schools of Nguluni, Kenya & Mazatlan. I wonder about the appropriateness of most of my books, but Ellen was told that anything better than Danielle Steele is fine. The performance? The paplanta acrobats flying trapeze-artists' stlye around a huge pole, something ordinarily seen only by cruise passengers.
