What a disappointment. I suppose I should've known better considering how obscure this title is, but the premise sounded like it could have been a whole lot of goofy fun. It starts out promisingly enough, but the narrative begins to fall apart somewhere near the midpoint. The text seems oddly truncated, as if whole sections had been removed. An entire page underneath the front cover boldly proclaims "YOU ARE NOW ENTERING A GREY AREA", and this promise is ironically well-kept. The potentially salacious parts of the book hinted at on the back cover are completely glossed over, and what little action that does occur is muted and ill-described. In fact, I'd challenge anyone to explain exactly what is a happening at almost any point past page 100. People are being fed to a poorly described monster of some sort (the cover illustration was my sole point of reference for visualizing it). The reading experience was akin to watching a familiar horror movie with all the R-rated parts chopped out and the second half missing every other five minutes of running time. Two stars simply because the cover is nice and the beginning is coherent, but I suggest steering clear of this mess.
