Greek Mythology is well represented in Storm Chaser the first book of the Sons of Olympus series.

Zed, bad boy demigod of storms is drawn into a little match making scheme along with mortal librarian Tempest when it is discovered in Olympus the hearth flame is no longer burning and the only way to restore it is by true love or Olympus falls.

I loved this story that was full of intense action-adventure, magic and a romance stronger than a demigod’s storm!

With excellent writing and terrific world building the perfectly crafted characters bring the story to life with love, friendship, family and plenty of intrigue to keep things VERY interesting.

An awesome read that should thrill all lovers of Greek Mythology because this is the book for you!

As this was the first of Eden’s books I’ve read, I’m not sure what I expected when I opened this book, but I was blown away by how wonderful & magical it was! I was wrapped up in the story and laughing from the start! So artistically written!

This was absolutely a page-turner, and I was always intrigued to learn what was next. The imagery was beautiful!

Even the final chapter was full of fun & happy surprises! I’m very excited to continue reading this series!

Really 2.5 stars I think. I wanted this to be fabulous the way Facebook PROMISED ME it would be, but it just fell flat. The writing needs a lot of work, the story feels completely flat because very little is fleshed out, and half of what the characters say feels like bad acting in a B-rated movie.

The idea was fine. The execution definitely left quite a bit to be desired.

Eden Royale takes you on an adventure that starts with the Greek Gods down to the demigods all the way down to the lowly eart-bound. She twists together the Greek Goddess Hera, Zeus(through his son and demigod Zed), and Zephyr (God of the West Wind) into modern day civilization.

Tempest is wild at heart woman who rides her mom's old dirt bike through the mountains during storms to clear her head and relax before she goes to her humdrum life as a Bookstore Librarian. She's trying to make her life make sense in the small cookie cutter mining town she's called home since her mother disappearedwhen she was younger. Her best friend is a stedford wife in the making and is trying her hardest to get Tempest to calm her ways and settle down with a local minor.

When the Stormchaser's stop in the small town Tempest's world gets turned upside down. They ignite the spark that she has been trying to stomp down and after a midnight ride into the storm with Zed and his crew she's hooked. Zed is a Demigod gorgeous man in the body of a ripped tattooed leather wearing biker who rides loud motorcycles both on land and in the sky!

Of course it's not smooth sailing because the Alpha of the Stormchasers, Seth shows up and demands the earthbound be left alone and for Zed and crew to leave town.

This book has a little bit for everyone. There's intense scenes of high speed racing, near death occurances, friendships, romance, and a good storyline that will carry into the next books. I can't wait to see how the next Demigods meet their fated mates to save the world of Olympus.

~1.5 stars~

I love mythology stories, so I had very high hopes for this book. The premise sounded quite interesting, but unfortunately, the book did not live up to my expectations. The world building was convoluted at best, and it was disappointing to see how comparatively weak the hero was despite being a descendant of Zeus. The stormchasers were essentially just a group of friends who could ride motorcycles in the sky rather than on the ground, which quickly became boring.

The chemistry between Zed and Tempest was mediocre. They were both immature characters, and Tempest really had horrible taste in friends. Christie was terribly selfish and juvenile, and I hated the forced conflict she created with Mason. I was so tired of Tempest’s complaints about nearly everything in her life.

Overall, this was a rather dull book with unlikable characters. I do not recommend it.

*I received an ARC of this novel. This is my complete and honest review.*

What a Fun Ride!!

When I saw on a book review site that this book had both roots in Greek mythology and a human librarian as the heroine, I had to snap it up. I am so glad I did. I found this book amusing and fun to read. I think you have to approach it with the right mindset, which the author tries to set up in a little note before the rest of the story. Basically, it's meant to be a fun, feel-good read…and that’s what I found it to be. The first line that made me laugh came early in the book: “With a grumble, he drifted along the winds, knowing that keeping the Queen of Olympus waiting was a worse idea than jumping into a Gorgon's lair.” Indeed! I wouldn't go so far as to call it light and fluffy because, of course, worlds are at stake, but the humorous aspects and the slight irreverence the author skillfully weaves into the tale may rub some readers who are looking for something a little more serious the wrong way. If you want your old gods treated with deference and reverence, you will usually be disappointed…but in a good way! If you take it for what it is, it's a hoot and quite a fun ride. I am looking forward to checking out the next books in the series. If you enjoy books steeped in mythology--as some popular movies of the last decade have been--and especially if you like Percy Jackson and crew, you will probably enjoy this somewhat more grown-up and whimsical version of those kinds of stories as much as I did.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

I found the concept of this book to be interesting. Zephyr is tasked by Hera to bring love to the Sons of Olympus in order to relight the torch of Olympus. The Sons are gods that live among mortals. His first assignment is to get Zed of the Stormchasers to find and claim his mate. Just a little fiddling with the wind currents to aim them all to the same little town…

So, Zed and a group of Stormchasers are riding a storm high in the sky when he looks down to see an earth-bound racing through the storm below on - an old dirt bike? He aims lightning towards the bike but the rider is undeterred and races on. When the bike finally comes to a halt at the edge of a sheer drop, Zed is amazed to see that it is a beautiful woman. A woman who calls to him like a siren. But the alpha of his Stormchaser gang, Seth, does not allow them to form mate bonds and he hates the earth-bound. Sounds like a change in management is on the way.

Tempest was raised by her uncle when her mother disappeared after following a storm one night. She has her mother's old dirt bike and she feels the same call to the storms that her mom always talked about. When Zed and the other Stormchasers come to town she starts to question the status quo that has been keeping her in town when she wants to travel. But is she prepared for what being with Zed will cause when Seth finds out?

The fire has gone out in the hearth upon Olympus and Hera has an idea to rekindle them - Let's be honest what deity wants to see their pantheon fade out?
She calls upon Zephyr and convinces him to help her - with a bit of a bribe naturally -
Love conquers all - right?

Enter the Sons of Olympus

Zed is our victim, *throat clearing* sorry, first Son to be matched with a potential mate. Zed is a Storm chaser and a bit of a rebel.
When a storm they were chasing dies out he and his gang finds themselves in a small town awaiting the storm's rebirth and what better time than now to quell his curiosity and discover who the woman was that dared to ride within the storm?
Tempest has always been drawn to the storms. To the danger. To the unknown.
And Zed is definitely an unknown

I enjoyed this overall - Plenty of action and suspense. Great world-building. These two complimented each other perfectly.
However, a few scenes felt overly descriptive, for lack of a better word.
Liked the series running storyline and I am going to read the next book because overall it was pretty entertaining

On Olympus, the hearth flame is no longer burning and the only way to restore it is by true love or Olympus falls. Hera gives Zephyr the task of bringing love to The Sons of Olympus in an effort to restore the natural order. The Storm Chasers are gods and demigods who live among mortals and very few have found love.  Zephyr's first assignment is to get Storm Chaser, Zed, to find and claim his mate. Zed, bad boy demigod of storms becomes one player in the attempt to bring him together with Tempest, his true mate. Tempest is a librarian who lives an imaginative life through her books, but she's always looking for something to stretch her boundaries. She's not content to live in a small town, with her small town friends, with their small town thinking, where everyone seems happy to settle. Storms call to her and she feels their power as they get close. But she's an Earthbound and when the Alpha returns, he will do anything to keep her from the skies. Katie Bloomwood does a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality.

Loved it! I am looking forward to book 2. Lovely spin on Greek mythology. The story sucked me in right from the start, and I couldn’t put it down. Zed, a demigod, is a real player and a descendant of Zues. Tempest (love the name) is a quiet small-town librarian. In come the Stormchasers, a group of demigods who bring the storms to earth. I love the motorcycles here, I can absolutely visualize them riding the storms. Zed turns Tempest world topsy-turvy, an engages her love of adventure. The problem is, she is human and needs to live on earth. Zed is a storm chaser, and must ride and bring in the storms. Their kind of love just can’t make it, or can it? They find a way! The story is fast paced with a lot of action. I found the story line to be unique, and refreshing. The characters are well written and developed. The narration was excellent! I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Zed & Tempest. Wow, what a different type of story. I totally wasn't expecting this. Zed is the descendant of Zeus and he and others ride their motorcycles chasing storms. But they're not your regular storm chasers. They ride with the storms among the clouds and hold powers like wind, thunder and lightning. When they come to town, people steer clear. Everyone except Tempest. Tempest is called by the storm every time on earth, she rides her mom's old dirt bike even during the storm when it's the most dangerous. She has dreams of leaving her small town and having an adventure. She never thought that she would meet someone who would be her adventure. I really like the originality of this book and so far I like the series. The author has some great world building and is very detailed in her description. I found myself very enthralled with the story and then it was over. I almost wished there was more to it. Definitely not a bad start to the series.

A Different Look at Greek Mythology . . .

Tempest lived in a small town but craves adventure. She was not willing to marry a miner and settle down to a boring life. She rides her mom's old dirt bike through the mountains while the storms swirl around her as a way calm herself before she went to her boring librarian job.

On Olympus, Hera wants to bring the spark back and asks Zephyr for help. They will use the Sons of Olympus through finding a mate. Up first is demigod Zed, the descendant of Zeus and a Storm chaser with a rebel spirit. He sees a woman riding a dirt bike during a storm and his curiosity draws him to her. But the Alpha of the Stormchasers, Seth, arrives and insists that the “earthbound” be left behind.

The story line was interesting but I’m not sure if I will continue with the rest of the series. It just didn’t seem to hold my attention enough.

DNF - quit at 21%
I was hoping for more, I’ve enjoyed books aboutGods & myths lately. But I just really wasn’t drawn into the story. The world building really isn’t there, other than the little lip at the beginning with Hera, you would never have realized there were dependents of the Gods involved in the story, other than the biker group, the Storm Chasers, riding air currents of storms with their bikes instead of on the roads. I really didn’t like the main characters, there just wasn’t anything special about them to make me care, which made it even harder to get into the story. I put it down & started looking at Facebook videos instead, which was a definite sign that I was done with the book.

At my age (61), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

Storm Chaser (Sons of Olympus book 1) by Eden Royale is a 4 ⭐️ read.
Tempest has always felt different when there’s a storm, she’s always wanted to race into the eye of the storm but something holds her back. She doesn’t fit in her small town either, she has dreams of adventure but is stuck working in her uncle’s library, but when the storm chaser motorcycle gang show up in town Tempest thinks she might have found her calling.
Zen is a storm chaser, a direct descendant of Zeus, chasing storms is what he lives for until one earth bound girl stops the storm and changes everything for Zed and his friends.
I enjoyed this story, there’s 5 more books in the series and I’m not sure if I’m going to read those or not but they have been added to my ever growing TBR collection.
This is book 2 from my Alphabet challenge this year, the letter S is done, 24 books to go.

Zed is a son of Zeus and a stormchaser. Tempest is mortal but has a history that slowly makes sense. The characters are terrific as the story background plays out. Hera is playing matchmaker to bring flame back to Olympus and each story is about a different son of the gods, falling in love. The storyline is fast paced with lots of action, challenges, hidden agendas, revelations, secrets (her mother), strengths, joining forces and much more. So much to take in along with the vivid descriptions and wonderful colors of the lightning bolts. Loved the support they give each other and the images of their two friends is striking and fun. Well done.

I absolutely loved the meaning behind this book, wow! I loved how Tempest grew, how she embraced who she was and took a leap of faith to follow her dreams. I loved Zed, his carrying, free spirit nature and the way he views the world, especially how he views Tempest. The energy, the banter, the chemistry, the passion that both Tempest and Zed have exploded into something otherworldly. This book has such a wonderful message to all, about acceptance, faith, taking chances and fighting for what you want and love. This book is filled with action, love, teamwork and inspiration. I loved how everyone came together in the end. I can't wait for Tempest and Zed's next adventure.

This is book 1 in Royale's Sons of Olympus. A well written and wonderfully narrated book. Full of Greek Mythology - Bloomwood brings this storyline and characters to life with smooth vocals and Royale delivers a smooth flowing storyline with amazing characters. Captivating from start to finish. I love the mix of mortal and god and everything in-between. The humor was laugh out loud wonderful which is what truly won me over. A fantastic listen - I can't wait for more!

If you were a fan of the Percy Jackson series, but have now grown up - this is for you.

If one of your favourite Disney movies is Hercules, also for you!

Storm Chasers is set in a reality with gods/demi gods; not limited to Greek mythology, there is also reference to Egyptian and Roman mythology.

Tempest is a librarian in a small town, she lives vicariously through the books that she reads - I think the majority of us can relate to that!

This is a new adult story; it addresses pushing personal boundaries whilst respecting those you love and finding your own path through the world.

Tempest has always felt tied down and longs to soar the skies. One demigod is going to blow her world away. Will she achieve her dreams? Will she learn to believe in her heart, instead of following her head?

I have to say this book had a different turn to a demigod/mortal relationship than I usually read. I loved how he brought her out of the mundane and thrust her into a life she never knew could be. To see her gain confidence was awesome and showed that sometimes going with your heart is the right choice. Good read!

This is a very interesting book. Sum people can let power corrupt them but is there a way 2 stop it? This is fun when a earth bound wants 2 explore and become a storm chaser but will she find her way or destroy everything including herself in the process? In her process of trying 2 make her dreams come true and get rid of the headaches she finds 1 hell of surprise!! I really loved how the book was fun the whole way through. This is a new author 2 me but if she writes likes this it will b fun 2 read in the future.

Percy Jackson but way more romance and for adults!

Honestly this really wasn't bad. The writing was decent enough but the world building was fantastic. I love the premise and it really does remind of Percy Jackson. My only complaint really is that we get the MMC's POV one time and I really enjoyed Zed's chapter. I wish that it had felt more like a dual POV because after that one chapter all the other chapters are from the FMC Tempest's POV. Other than that it was a really enjoyable read.

This is a fun young adult book filled with exciting adventure and fantasy. It has all their youthful angst, occasional immaturity, dubious decisions and high energy. Everything you could expect. Tempest blossoms as the small time subdued librarian into the kickass adventurer she's always longed to be and finding love and purpose changes Zed in ways he never dreamed of. I received this ARC from Book Sirens and this is my honest review.

Loved Zed and Tempest story. To want adventure outside of the little town she lived in was the only thing she ever wanted. Then the storm came to town. Love how Tempest is so strong and knows what she wants but also at the same time has doubts about what is happening. When Zed and Tempest meet I felt the embarrassment and excitement, but knew at the same time something big was going to come and try to make life hard as it always does. Can’t wait to read the next book

I'm not quite sure what to make of this book. I chose it because it said it was the adult version if the percy jackson series (type of), Andi lived that series. But it wasn't as much that series for adults, rather Olympus gods type if story. If you're looking for heat... This isn't it.

So maybe not for me, but still interesting enough if you want a low key type of storyline and character building.

There is just zero emotion in the writing. It felt like watching a really shallow CW show. Percy Jackson vibes is an outright lie, the only thing these two series have in common is the Greek mythology element, which to me is like describing Twilight as ‘Dracula vibes’ because they both have vampires in it. The two do not compare at all. The mythology is also weak, if you took it out you’d be left with a substandard MC romance book.

With themes that pull from Beauty and the Beast, LIGHT theming from Greek Mythology, and Hercules (Disney version) you get a new romance book. You follow along Tempest, a mortal human girl who would rather be reading a book instead of dating (relatable), and Zed, a descendant of Zeus (yes the big man with lighting). Their love story is fast pace and electrifying! Truly a good little quick read!

loved it

It’s my first time reading a book by Eden Royale and I must say I really loved it. I always love stories about the Olympus gods and I can say this didn’t disappoint me at all. It had a different story and different characters to a normal telling about the gods that I really enjoyed. I can’t wait to read the next book. I’m really loving these feisty females. Bring it on
