A poor boy sets off to make his fortune with a small sack of money. His betrothed suggests that he go into the town to make his fortune, which he does. He meets an old lady who persuades him to take a dancing tiger in exchange for his money. He makes the trade and in turn earns a fortune with his dancing tiger. But this is only the beginning of his story.

Wonderful book! I'd never read this particular story before. I like the exotic twist to the story, as well.

One of my favorite childhood fairytales. And talk about stunning artwork! It's a little hard to track down a copy anymore, but it's worth it.
