So who am I? Well, I'm the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friends laugh at me when I scare myself watching them and tell me to stop watching them, but who doesn't love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.

Growing up in a small town, I learned a lot of values and morals, I also learned parents have spies everywhere and there's always someone to tell your mama on you. So when you get grounded, what is there left to do? Read! My Aunt Jo gave me my first real romance novel. It was a romance titled "Lord Margrave's Deception." I remember it fondly. But I also learned I had a deep and abiding love of mysteries and anything paranormal. As I grew up, I started to write just that and would entertain my friends with stories featuring them as main characters.

Now, I live Huntersville, NC where I entertain my family and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierce...lol.

I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.

After the way he left her whilst she lost their baby. He went on with his life, forgot he was still married. He went and fell in love with another woman and then turned into a manwhore for 6 years. Throughout all of this even though he “forgot” he was still married and loved another woman he apparently always loved the heroine. I don’t understand how author expected anyone to believe in this wimp after she did everything to show how he actually DID NOT love his wife. He used an excuse to leave h knowing she had lost their child and then never looked for her. He knew he was still married but still knowingly had a relationship with another woman and when that didn’t work out he slept around with whoever he wanted. He was a cheater no matter how the author tries to justify him. When h asked about his love life later he admitted to falling in love and sleeping around and then he asked her and his thoughts were he HOPED she slept with more than ten men as that would make him feel better about his own skanky behaviour! Heroine actually laughed with him about his manwhore ways and actually felt sorry for him for way he was played by the other woman he loved whilst he forgot he was married and h was grieving the loss of her baby and brother. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS WOMAN WHO WAS SUFFERING THE WHOLE TIME WITH TWO VERY TRAUMATIC LOSSES ACTUALLY FELT SORRY FOR THIS CHEATER WHO HAD LEFT HER WHEN SHE NEEDED HIM. How could she find it funny that her HUSBAND was spreading himself around. What is so funny about cheating? She was an idiot because he gave a flimsy excuse and she just forgave him! The guys in this series are idiots who only think with their lower head and the women are gullible idiots too because they think those idiots are prizes. The way the cheating was dealt with in such a blase manner was truly disturbing because apparently talking about sexual kinks is more important than the fact that a husband leaving you and sleeping around. I will never attempt this author again!!

Update: There's a release date! April 25th you can have this beauty in your hands :)
Pre Order here: http://amzn.to/2nVsWOz

From the authors newsletter...

Kade’s lips thinned and he picked her up and started walking, her struggling and shouting for all she was worth. He only stopped long enough to ask where the office was. The girl behind the bar pointed in the general direction and he nodded his thanks.

“What…” The owner stood up when Kade walked in, Angel screaming obscenities at him. He had to be in his late sixties, early seventies, with a head of white fuzz that looked more like peach fuzz than hair. He reminded Kade of a brawler. Kade would bet anything he’d been a fighter of some kind in his younger years.

“Out.” Kade barked at the old man.

“Now look here, son, this is my office and I ain’t going nowhere, especially not when you’re manhandling my employee.”

“I’m not manhandling your employee, I’m manhandling my wife.”

I know I'm excited about the book!
Although it can be read as a standalone you have time to check out book 1 before book 2 releases.

Merged review:

This review is probably going to end up nothing but a jumbled mess because I honestly have no idea how I feel about this book. After patiently waiting for over a year to get this story I was extra excited when there was a release date posted. And then I jumped on this book the second it was live because I just couldn't wait any longer. And I enjoyed it some, don't get me wrong about that, but it just didn't meet my expectations.

I liked the initial story of Kade and Angel, and their lost love for one another. Their story wasn't an easy one and started off in a pretty rocky situation, and then ended in an explosion of betrayal and heartache. Yet when Kade comes into contact with Angel six years later he knows this is his chance to make things right and to make Angel his again. I really enjoyed seeing their connection and how possessive Kade was. It was swoon worth, really.

And all of that was really great...until I got about half way through the book and started to lose interest. I felt like we never really got to explore Angel and Kade's characters, so the farther into the book I got with no answers to my questions about them, the more interest I lost. There is just so much I want to know about them that I never found out during the course of this book.

This read could have been a 3 Star for me but once I started to get a little disgruntled with the story then all the little mistakes started to get on my nerves too. Things that normally wouldn't bother me, like the fact Angel first says she's about to graduate with her degree in Psychology yet later she's apparently going to school for Business. A simple mistake that usually I would just roll right off my shoulders but since the story was starting to get lost for me this came and gave me another thing to feel meh about.

This book also delves a little into the dark world near the end, which I was not expecting at all. After reading Touch Me Not, which was pretty light, and even just from the feel of the beginning of this book, I really wasn't expecting anything bad so the ending seemed a bit out of no where for me.

One last rant I promise...

Bottom line, this book wasn't a completely miss for me but it also wasn't as fantastic as i thought it would be either. I think it had great potential but it honestly felt a little rushed to me and there was no depth to it. The author does hint at more to come from this couple though and I will most likely read it to see what's to come of them.

❌Not even for free, which it is, today, 28 November 2022
Our hero:
❌ “So…she’s your wife [the h]? I didn’t know you were married.” He shrugged. “I forgot.” “How do you forget you’re married?” “Quite easily when there’s nothing but bad memories attached to it,” he murmured,…”
❌ “They would have tortured you and then dumped you on my doorstep. That’s how they operate. Your safety came first. I couldn’t be selfish. I had to protect you, and the only way to do it was to let you go. To make you want to go. So, I went to the hospital and made you believe all those terrible things. I made you think I didn’t love you, that I didn’t care about the baby. That you meant nothing to me except as a means to an end. I lied, Angel, but I lied to keep you safe.”
❌ What did you do? Go out and sleep with anything that moves?” “I wouldn’t say that, exactly,” he hedged. How was he going to say this without pissing her off more than she already was? “Then what would you say, exactly?” Her eyes narrowed, the green in them almost glowing. “I started to drink, a lot. It got so bad, my supervisor noticed it. He told me to get clean or get gone. I took some time off. I met a woman…
❌ “Her name was Jessica Frasier. I told myself I loved her. Almost convinced myself of it too.
❌ “She found out he [his brother] was loaded and seduced him. Left me for him. I was hurt, angry, but not at her. I could care less about her...

🤯I’m amazed at the human brain: being able to tell yourself you love someone and then WAM you suddenly don’t anymore🤯

❌”I drank a lot, especially after the situation with Nikoli. And I fucked a lot. I drowned myself in booze and women. The one thing I learned was that no other woman could take your place.

Puhleeze😷

Our heroine:
🤧“I’m a woman, Kade, a healthy woman who enjoys sex.”
🤧“Two serious relationships that didn’t work out.”

5+ smashing stars

There's just something about the way that Apryl Baker writes her stories that i can't stop myself from exhaling in satisfaction after reading her books. The Sinner's Touch being the second book i've read from her, and incidently the second book in her Manwhor€ series, i loved how she took a character, Kade, ripped him apart and built him back together and how the second character, Angelique, is more than able to stand by him, not the simpering heroine that i was afraid (and really, there was no need for me to be afraid, seriously) of her being.

4.5 sexy dreams

Was, or is, it necessary to have read the first book in the series? Honestly, no, but considering that there is a back story about the Boston Killer in Touch Me Not (the first book), i would suggest it. While the book delved more into Kade's and Angelique's story, i still loved how it allowed me to revisit some characters i had met through Lily and Nikoli's book. I can't get enough of Apryl Baker's books. They are more emotional than i could have imagined, humorous when i least expect it and always a thrill when i start it. I don't think i could have read this book any faster than i did, and i can't wait to find out if there will be more of this series in the future; something i'll be looking forward to!

Writers romanticising infidelity should read a bona fide romance to understand by definition that ‘romance’ is an emotional feeling of love for, or a strong attraction towards another person and the courtship behaviours to express those feelings and emotions.

Adultery by definition is - voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than that person's spouse or partner;

Not interested in a fable of true love involving the Hero falling in love with a woman whom is NOT his wife and engaging in indiscriminate sex with multiple partners forgetting he is technically married; and the spineless heroine being all-forgiving. This plot line is growing rather old.

Once a cheater always a cheater.

description

As I was reading this book I was continually blown away by the character development and complex emotions written into the leading characters Kade and Angel. At no point did I ever feel like their issues were forced, or built up things that could easily have been solved with a simple chat. The things between these characters in my opinion were realistic in the fact I could see them keeping two people apart or cause the level of anger and division that was present.

Having read the first book in this series, Touch Me Not, prior to this, I got a glimpse of Kade, but nothing could have prepared me for how good a character he was. And I felt the same about the other Kincaid brothers. After finishing this one I will keep my fingers crossed that each bother will get their own story.

Angel was a pretty fantastic leading lady. She was fierce and independent and strong. I look forward to reading more about her in these hopeful future books just as I was happy to see more of Nikoli and Lily.

This is a great book for any romantic suspense fans and I would highly recommend it.

Second book in the series and I feel it didn't fit the way the 1st one Touch me Not made me swoon this one made me question, The plot and book is great but to me just didn't fit the Series. but, I am not the author so I don't know the process the characters or story plot to place, in the preparation of writing this story. Fate is a cruel, and the use of it as the theme of this book is bitter sweet. Kade is someone you grow to love even though you hate him so much, Angelique has ever right to be mad at him and avoid him, but how can you when... You need to read it for yourself! Please don't ever let a review good or bad sway you, if the book looks interesting to you please please read, After all not everyone reads the same book.

After meeting Kade in Nik's book, I wanted to hear his story. So I'm glad we got to. And got to see the end of the campus killer.

Angel has been a bartender for years. She makes the mistake of taking a break outside and sees the campus killer dumping his latest victim. And he sees her. So now she's a target for this serial killer.

Kade has been in Boston helping to track down the campus killer when he gets a call that there is a witness now. Imagine his surprise when it's someone he loved from his past.

An intense, gripping thriller with Kade and Angel's love story wrapped in it. I hope we see more from this family. I love these brothers!

Wow!! What an intense book!! We start with Kade still tracking the Boston Serial Killer who was introduced in book one. The freaky thing about this book is we get 3 different POV’s. We hear from Kade, Angel and the Killer. And boy....does that make for an exciting read!!

Both Angel and Kade are strong fearless characters so I really loved reading their story. Of course I wanted more of Lily and Nik so I was so happy whenever those two appeared in the story. We also get introduced to 2 more Of Nik and Kade’s brothers. I cannot wait to learn more about them as well.

This book keeps you so intrigued until the end....which of course...is amazing!!!! ;) They will be getting another book so I’m on to the next installment!!

A serial killer, a past with more heartache than one should ever experience, a future forged through adversity, and a blast from the past that threatens to shatter what's left of her heart. Angel is in for a wild ride and her happily ever after might not even happen. After witnessing a body dump by the serial killer plaguing Boston she's in major danger. The FBI agent tracking the killer who comes to interview her is none other than the man that devastated and broke her years ago. And the best part? Apparently she's still married to the man and he forgot he was married at all. They'll have a long way to go if they hope for anything together unless they don't catch the killer before he catches her.

Angel was a young girl with more maturity than anyone as young as her should have. Her brother Peter is her world and his friendship with Kade brings a love into her life she never anticipated. Their tumultuous relationship wasn't one filled with hearts and flowers but it was something she counted on, believed in. Until one night destroyed everything she ever believed in, everyone she loved. With a dead brother, a miscarriage, and a broken heart, she's left alone to pick up the pieces of her life. She does well for years and has big plans for her college degree and business plans. And then one small breather behind the bar she tends brings consequences she never saw coming.

When Kade walks into the bar to interview a witness it's the green eyes filled with fire and a solid punch to the jaw that wakes him up to a future he never thought he deserved. He forgot to divorce the spitfire with red hair and a target on her back. Unsure if it's luck, fate, or a cosmic joke, he's determined to protect her and maybe, just maybe, their chemistry can help him salvage what's left of his heart because that remaining piece is held solidly in her hands.

There's an intense amount of danger surrounding Angel and the roller coaster of feels just never stops in this book. I was blown away by how horrible I could feel for her situation. From her dealing with their past to what she has to endure at the serial killer's hands, there's almost no end to her turbulent emotions. Kade stirs things in her she thought she'd never feel again and the weight of the life he chose to live without her is almost crushing. The extent of what she suffered through is immense and as she and Kade work through their past and their current feelings it's their love and her inner strength that give her the courage to believe in a future, not just for her, but for them.

I despised Kade and yet wanted to see them work it out. The whole "forgot" thing was the worst part of it all for me and even after reading their follow-up in Kade I still don't know how much I love the man. I love him and yet I cringe hard any time his epic screw up is mentioned. Each time she revealed something else she had to survive alone and how those revelations affected him I crowed inside because I wanted him to really see all that he left her alone with. No amount of running and apologies was going to fix what he did. Only when he commits to now and from here on out and fully understanding his role in everything can I accept them being together.

Their story isn't finished, though, and I'm actually looking forward to seeing them fight for their happiness and their family in Kade. I have a lot of hope for these two because with how low, how destroyed they were, they deserve more, they deserve happiness. Their souls couldn't find home with anyone else for a reason and their journey is nothing short of a violent storm. Through forgiveness and redemption, though, they can finally find peace. The entire Kincaid family is incredibly interesting and I'm definitely looking in to the Manwhore series as well as the rest of the men in the Kincaid Security and Investigations series.

Willingly read and reviewed this ARC.

This book is an action packed whirlwind of a story!! The second book in The Manwhore series, it picks up the story of the Kincaid Brothers and their ladies right where the first one left off.

Angel, the bartender whose shoulder Nikoli cried on in the first book, sees a serial killer dump a body in the alley behind O'Grady's bar. Kade, Nikoli's brother, is an FBI agent assigned to the serial killer case. Sparks fly when he has to become her bodyguard because she is actually his long-lost wife. Seems he married her to keep his cover as he infiltrated a deadly Miami drug cartel. Except he got her brother killed then forgot to file divorce papers when he was reassigned after the case. He even forgot he was married to her in his efforts to bury the tragic events deep in his memory, until he sees her again and realizes the marriage is all too real to him. But Angel hates the ground he walks on and vows never to forgive him for his part in her brother's death. Can he keep her safe and get a second chance with her?

I loved Angel's character. She has so much strength as she faces down the stalking serial killer and works out her issues with Kade. Growing up in Miami, she was raised by her brother after they were orphaned. She had to live a rough life to survive, especially after her brother turned to the cartel for easy money. I really felt for her as her life is turned upside down after she had come so far building a new and better one for herself.

Kade is a sweetheart as he tries to convince Angel his feelings for her are real, even if the circumstances surrounding their marriage were fake. He is still traumatized but the events in Miami as much as Angel is. Adding in the stress of trying to catch a serial killer as the bodies pile up, he races the clock to solve the case and save Angel. His character really stands out as a swoon-worthy hero type and I fell in love with him.

This series is a must-read for both romance lovers and action and adventure fans. The series has an underlying story arc that makes for great suspense and great reading. I definitely recommend it but be aware that this series and Apryl Baker's other KSI series are intertwined and must be read together to get the whole story.

I read an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Right....so I absolutely fucking LOVED the first book in this Manwhore Series!

Loved everything about it!

So I was a little taken a back at the direction of this one...straight up it just didn't seem to fit the idea of what or where I thought this next one was going...and it killed me!
I was shattered!!!
But then I thought to myself....you know what...get the fuck over yourself and just read the flipping book will ya?!

And thank god I did too because this book was a really different read to the first one and I think that may be what I appreciate most about it!

A great addition to a series where the first book reached in and stole my breath!

I may have been expecting or hoping for something different than what I got but that's the beauty of it all....expecting something and getting something completely different is all a part of the best thing about reading books!

The element of surprise for this one was in full force!

This one is about Kade, the older brother to Nikoli who we met in in Touch Me Not (the story of Lily and Nikoli) and Angel his forever after!

There was so much darkness to this one that I wasn't expecting...but what was different in this one, in comparison to the first, is what made this one such a stand out for me!

The push and pull between Kade and Angel is palpable and this one is surrounded in drama and heartache and suspense!!

I am literally on tenterhooks to have to wait for the next stories of these brothers and if the first two books from this amazing author are anything to go by then the bar has been set so high!

I cannot wait for more in this series and couldn't recommend it more!

4.5 stars for this well written story that left me with a need to know more!

Going into The sinners touch I was really excited to see Kades story we get a little of him in touch me not if you haven't read I suggest you do but you wont be lost if you start with this one but you definitely need to read it you don't want to miss out on the making of LIlly and Nikolis relationship they make a couple of appearances that are hilarious but also just them . I thought it was interesting how this went and the way it is a second chance romance and how we get to see bits and pieces through out the story gradually but not rushed even though I really wanted to know I'm happy with the way Apryl Baker did it . I liked Kade but at times he did irritate me when he saya certain things or responds when questions are asked but over all good hero . It's understanding why Angle is towards the hero I'm angry for her she's strong and independent admired her strength after everything that she lost . Enjoyed seeing and meeting the rest of the brothers can't wait to read more about them and to see were every bodies at . Another thing that really caught my eye is the little chapters from a certain persons Point of you normally don't see that and being inside of that kind of persons thoughts .

HOLY HELL BATMAN! I LOVED LOVED LOVED Touch Me Not, the first book in this series a ton, but The Sinners Touch upped the ante! Angel found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time when she came across the serial murderer terrorizing the area, putting a body in his trunk. Although she was able to give a great description of him, unfortunately he saw her clearly, so now she's in serious danger. And since the killer has been eluding the police for so long, now the FBI is involved, which brought Kade, the man she never stopped loving, back to shake up her life. Kade left Angel years ago, without looking back, but he never stopped loving her for one minute. Now she's in serious danger, and he's not going to let her out of his sight, no matter how much she fights it. With them in close quarters until the killer is caught, will they be able to put the past to rest? WOW WOW WOW! I couldn't get enough of this book, and I wish it never ended. Apryl Baker with her brilliant writing style, instantly transported me into her world, and my heart almost pounded out of my chest. The story never lulled with the fast paced plot, and the suspense factor was off the charts intense, which made for many loud f-bomb dropping moments. Add in the colorful cast of secondaries (Kade's entertaining brothers), who had me laughing hard, and the emotional angst sky high, well it's the perfect story in my opinion. The ending just about sent me over the edge, (but not a cliffy per se), but reading words from the author calmed me down when she let it be known that there will be more to Kade & Angel's story, which makes me so happy! Anyway, I'm a highly addicted fan girl who is HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING The Sinners Touch to ALL!

Angelique “Angel” Lemoraux works the late shift. And that’s just her day job. Kade Kincaid has a witness that has quite the temper. The author sure knows what will grab her reader’s attention. She also knows what to create in order to get her readers to laugh. And she has a very devious mind because she’s very good at writing “sick’ – you’ll understand when you read. But just a warning that if you have a sensitive stomach you may not want to read while eating. It did make me cringe a little.

Love how the author has this story set in my neck of the woods. And Angel mentions one of my favorite shows – as if this was meant to be. The only thing I don’t understand is the series. I haven’t read the first one so that could be why. I have the audiobook for Touch Me Not in the wings so as I listen and read this book again maybe I will figure it out.

You do not have to have read the first book in order to enjoy this one. I did however look forward to the mystery man of the piece. I wanted to see what he was going to do next. He was that one character that you didn’t want to look but you just couldn’t help yourself. So this book was more about the mystery, suspense and the twists and turns than any romance. But I did like the fact that there was romance at the end – that’s what I’m all about after all. I’ll be interested to see what comes next because our author does give a hint that there’s more to come.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

From the second page I was hooked. The story overall is amazing and keeps you on the edge of your seat. You want to first find out what exactly happened between Angel and Kade but also just WHO IS THE BOSTON KILLER?!?!?

Apryl Baker did not disappoint with this one. It's definitely going to be a book I will have to read again to help with the book hangover that it is giving me.

We know that Kade messed up with Angel six years ago and it takes him the whole book to make it right. I am glad it wasn't an instant make it better type book. There was much for them to work out and I am glad Baker showed us the ups and downs from their relationship.

I loved Angel. She is a fiery character who is willing to go toe to toe with anyone. She definitely keeps Kade on her toes.

Baker did something different and gave us a few chapters from the killers point of few. I have so many questions about this person that I hope we find out more. In fact there are many questions and hopes and dreams that I want from these characters. I need more from them.

I am glad that we get introduced to some of the other brothers and get to see just how amazing that family dynamic really is. Family is everything to them. It was great to revisit Lily and Nik as well.

If you are in the mood for a great book that will keep you on the edge of your seat as well as tug on your heart strings A Sinners Touch is for you. It's definitely a five star read.

I don’t even know where to begin—The Sinner’s Touch had me in a chokehold from page one. This book isn’t just a second-chance romance—it’s a full-blown emotional wrecking ball. And I loved every second of it.
Kade is the kind of man who makes your heart race for all the reasons—some good, some maddening. He messed up big. Left Angelique shattered. But now? He’s back. And this time, he’s not just fighting for her love—he’s fighting to keep her alive. Because the danger in this book? It’s real. There’s a serial killer circling, and the stakes are life or death.
Angelique… oh, she got under my skin in the best way. Strong, wounded, fierce. She’s determined not to let Kade in again, no matter how much her heart (and body) still wants him. And that tug-of-war between them? Whew. It’s messy, it’s intense, and it’s so worth it.
Apryl Baker delivers:
✅ High-stakes suspense with real danger
✅ Second-chance romance that hurts in all the right ways
✅ Smoldering chemistry that feels earned, not rushed
✅ A heroine who refuses to be weak, even when her world’s falling apart
✅ And a man willing to burn everything down to protect the one woman he never stopped loving
This isn’t a light, fluffy read. It’s gritty, emotional, and absolutely addictive. Kade and Angelique’s story is fire and scars, heartbreak and healing—and it stays with you.
Five stars and a big reminder: never underestimate a woman who’s been broken and survived.

I didn't really know what to expect from this book. I've been eager to read it since I finished Touch Me Not when it was released so I vaguely knew what this author's writing would be like, yet I didn't know what the story would entail so I went into this blind.

The Sinner's Touch held my attention from start to finish. It was darker than what I remember the first book being, yet I couldn't put it down. I won't give too much away as suspense is a key factor in this book, but I didn't see some of the twists coming. The book kept me on my toes and wanting to find out more.

As for the characters, I thought in general they were well developed. I liked the history and the second chance element. However, I would have liked Kade to do more work--although I guess that's going to be the point of book 2.

My only minor issue was the writing did become a bit confusing at times because of the head hopping. Written in third person it was okay until characters' thoughts started to mix. I got used to the style the more I read, but at the start it was a little jarring. I think scene breaks could have helped the clarity.

Overall I enjoyed this read. It does get quite dark and graphic at times so it might not be for everyone, yet it held my attention well and I'm looking forward to reading more romances by this author

This is the first book I have read by Apryl Baker and I loved it. This is the second book in the series and even though I did not read the first one, I did not feel like I was missing part of the story that you sometimes get when it is the second book.
Angel is a bartender just going through the motions. That is until one night she comes face to face will a serial killer. The person she least expected to see when the FBI showed up was Kade, her ex husband or at least she thought he was her ex. Turns out that Kade had forgotten to file for a divorce.
Kade is a FBI agent just wanting nothing more than to get this serial killer behind bars. Now he must face his past when he realizes Angel is the one who came face to face with the killer. Kade will do whatever it takes to protect Angel even if she doesn't want it.
I truly enjoyed this suspense/thriller romance. This is not my typical genre but definitely a book I would recommend. Angel definitely had reasons to be pissed at Kade. Kade definitely had reasons to be pissed at his self. When these two are in close proximity it is almost comical if it wasn't so painful to revisit the past the both want to forget. Kade and Angel both needed this so they can move forward.
I can not wait till the next book.

Five Fabulous Stars! This is the second book in the Manwhore Series and it is recommended to read in an order for better understanding of the story. Angel is a bartender and when she goes out to take a break she sees the campus killer dumping his latest victim. Angel is now very worried because the man has now seen her. Kade is working with the FBI and is called to interview a witness who has seen the campus killer. Much to Kade's surprise when he meets the witness it is his ex wife. Angel soon finds out that she is still married to Kade because he forgot to file the divorce papers. Will Kade be able to protect Angel and catch the campus killer? I thoroughly enjoyed this story and found it to be well written. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the book and could not put it down until I finished. The story was full of twists and turns, romance, suspense and mystery. The characters had great chemistry and I felt their emotions as I read through the book. I highly recommend this story and can't wait to see where the author will go next!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

Okay, so I loved book one this series and got ridiculously excited when I saw that h Sinners Touch released. Once I got into the book, I really wanted to hate it, or should I say I wanted to hate the hero Kade. How does one forget they are married?! Seriously though the cosmic joke that happened to Angel to put Kade back into her life couldn't have been any worse. Shes on a serial killers radar, and Kade is the FBI Agent after him. Life was hard on not only Angel but Kade as well. The odds were stacked against both of them no matter what they did. The whole story was complex, the characters, the lies, the truths, the suspense, everything. It is probably my favorite romantic suspense story so far of 2017. Do yourself a favor and read A Sinners Touch because no matter what I say or anyone else its not going to do the story justice. Just hold on and enjoy the ride. and for those inquiring minds you don't need to read Touch Me Not, but I do recommend it.

When Angel steps out of the bar for a breath of fresh air she has no clue as to what is waiting for her. An unfortunate case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time sends her life spiralling out of control when she comes face to face with Boston’s most notorious serial killer, body in hand. When the police arrive, she has to deal with her second shock of the day and she has no idea that her week is about to get a whole lot worse.

Angel is a sweet character who has a back story that won’t let her move on and Kade’s interruption to her life is an emotional one. Kade appears, at first, to be a little on the shallow side but when the events of the past unravel the reader gets to see the inner turmoil.

I like the way Baker has turned a thriller into a romance with a strong lead detective element. The Russian brothers are a nice change from the all-American boy and I look forward to hearing the rest of the Kincaid stories.

Kade and Angel

This is the second book in A Manwhore Series and it is great. Kade is one on Nik’s older brothers and is an agent with the BAU. He is working on finding the serial killer terrorizing women in Boston. Angel works as a bartender at Pop’s and while on break witnesses the serial killer dumping his latest victim and the killer now has his sights set on her. When Kade shows up at the bar he finds the witness is none other than the wife he left after his undercover stint to infiltrate the cartel Angel’s brother worked for. Kade failed to file for a divorce and conveniently“forgot” he was married for the last 6 years as he went through woman after woman. Needless to say Angel is not pleased to see Kade, is shocked they’re still married and scared she’s now the target of a killer. Kade has to keep Angel safe while trying to catch the killer and deal with his and Angel’s feelings. This book had me laughing and crying and biting my nails.

I really enjoyed this novel. It is the second in Apryl Baker's Manwhore series (I still hate the name of the series). Please do not be put off by the title of this series, as this is truly a gripping and well written book.

This novel tells us the story of another of the Russian brothers, whom we met in the first book-"Touch me not". There is not much I can say about the plot without completely ruining it for you! I can say that the serial killer who was present in the first book , is here again and takes a much bigger chunk of the story in this one.

The story is exciting, and I could have read it in one sitting if I had had the time, and I resented the time I was forced to spend apart from it!

I have found all of Apryl's books captivating and completely engrossing, I have never read on I didn't love and I am just about to start book 3 in the series.

I am not typically one for romance stories but I loved the other Aprl Baker books I've read so I gave it a chance.
I am very happy I did. Apryl did a fantastic job of giving the reader a look inside the characters.
Pros - great job giving insight into the characters and what motivated them, genuinely likeable characters, fast moving and endearing story.
Cons - I am not a fan of romance so I didn't care for the few..ummm.. detailed scenes, and I am not sure I can completely buy the coincidence of how they meet the second time.
If you are looking for a great, fun book then this is the book for you. It is #2 in the series so you dont need to read the 1st book. Go ahead and read it anyway. These are perfect summertime books.

Angelique Lemoraux is working at O'Grady's bar in Boston when she accidentally witnesses a serial killer disposing of his current victim and becomes his newest target. Special Agent Kade Kincaid of the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit is working on the case and is called in to interview Angel who is so far the only witness to ever see the elusive killer's face. When he meets Angel, he realizes they have a history together going back to his undercover days, she's actually his wife... and since he disappeared on her 6 years before, Angel ISN'T happy to see him again! Can Kade repair the relationship he shattered so long ago and win back the only woman he's ever loved? Better yet, can he keep Angel safe from the serial killer who has her in her sights now?
