As usual, Fowler does a remarkably good job with a limited vocabulary palette. He manages to cover root vegetable crops, mangroves, orchids, banyans and provides a very short overview of the 2 kinds of roots: the primary and secondary. A nice little book to use with students who are struggling with reading but who want to learn more about plant anatomy.
