Very interesting and detailed look at the liturgical background, use, and preformance of the Lutheran liturgy as found in the 1958 Service Book and Hymnal.

Great overview of the history of liturgy in the western church, particularly as it came to the Lutheran church in the middle of the 20th century. Also a great and very detailed description of the old "red book," the Service Book and Hymnal.
