A book about babies, adults, and adult babies —This delightful long-form poem with a deceptively simple structure allows for Toder’s poignant observations to hit in a clean, unfussy, and often devastating way.

I’m always looking for poetry collections that might appeal to friends who don’t routinely read poetry as a genre, and this is one of those. It is accessible if you’re intimidated by poetry and exciting if you’re an enthusiast, as a fresh example of what the medium can be.
