Deadworld: Requiem For The World

Rate this book
The introduction of a classic horror series to a new audience! Considered by many to be the original zombie comic, Deadworld ripped into the undead with intelligent zombies on a mission and the poor teens riding in a school bus desperately trying to stay one step ahead of the King Zombie. Death, mayhem and a touch of supernatural evil made Deadworld a classic, and now here's your chance to get into the story!

Cheesy but action-packed.

Some of the cast read pretty well. Others were awful and laughable. I really like when audiobooks have sound effects (recommendations welcome)! The hard rock music, though, ruined the tone. I felt like I walked in on something I shouldn't have seen. There was no backstory. I blacked out for most of it. Someone younger than me would like this a lot better.

Didn't realize this was just a reimagining if the OG series when I bought it. Not as good.

Didn't really establish the characters, they were generic survivors. Then when they started dying, I wasn't even very sure which ones were popping their clogs and getting cobbled.

Also the intelligent zombie villain was just a twatnozzle.

The best of the zombie comics I've read. Unfortunately the series only lasted six issues. It was really getting good. Walking Dead is also very good, and continues to run.
