Als je op een boekenmarkt voor het goede doel een hele stapel boeken voor maar een euro per stuk kan kopen, dan wordt het natuurlijk steeds lastiger om boeken te laten liggen. Ondanks dat boek 1 in deze serie er niet lag, en ik deze ook niet heb, heb ik deel twee toch maar meegenomen.
Heel lang geleden heb ik verschillende afleveringen van deze serie gekeken. Dit boek speelt zich overduidelijk af in de beginfase van het verhaal, maar het concept is duidelijk. De meiden hebben krachten, de meiden zijn tieners en iedereen moet uiteindelijk alles uit de kast halen om het grote geheim te bewaren. Het lezen van dit boek, dat gewoon het verhaal van de serie volgt, was vooral een trip down memory lane. Is het allemaal hoogstaand? Nee. Is het vermakelijk? Zeer zeker! Heel jammer dat er niet meer H2O boeken in de bak lagen!

Novelisation of the second H2O episode 'Pool Party' - Lewis finds out the girl's secret and Rikki comes into her powers.
I love this episode - they way Lewis finds out about Cleo's secret at the pool party is excellent. I also like the way the girls have to adjust - for Emma that means completely re-thinking her life since she now can't be a champion swimmer. This does a great job of bringing across the very different personalities of the three girls.
The novel is however merely a fleshed out script and gives you nothing more than the episode - we don't get any stills or illustrations either - it is simply the second episode in book form.
