Conducting Fireflies

Rate this book
Imagine being sorely pigeonholed even before the moment of your first breath, as though the moon and stars had piteously aligned themselves against you. After that, having to constantly endure second class status while much lessor beings mysteriously advance. Finally, even though you have succeeded in tearing down walls by always taking the roads less traveled, entitled fools, who assert false privilege, still repeatedly devalue and sideline you. Reggie Puzo willfully denies all that undeserved baggage, demanding forever to alter the status-quo.

Jackie Farber - Mr. Bove’s history as a poet is reflected in his choice of words and the lyrical verses pervade his novels.

Jariya Wanapun - Mr. Bove is a fine writer who creates rounded, sympathetic characters with a few sure strokes, and his novels all seem to suggest the magic found in everyday, human interactions. As a fellow reviewer said of his work, “modern American fiction too rarely exhibits such qualities and values.”
