Ronnie, a red-eyed tree frog from the rain forest, consults the Great Wise Toad in his effort to save his home from greedy people seeking to exploit it for profit.
A fun story about a frog that goes on a long (if not realistic) journey from his home to seek the wisdom of a toad. He meets many jungle 'friends' along the way (many of whom would eat him happily in real-life) and sees many places he'd never even dreamed of before (many of which would kill him in real-life). The frog is adorable and the pictures are super-cute, so I'd read it to kids.
This book was way too long for a kid’s book. I expected that each animal the free encountered would eat him- naturally. It featured a lot of different animals, which was cool. I won’t read it again, made me too antsy when reading to my child.
